  1. how big is the performance difference between the most expensive and the most affordable 1070? I am going to buy new GPU at some point, but I want to check if there is any major difference in performance.
  2. I also have a Video card so no need for onboard graphics. but all in all yes thats it. Thanks for the help
  3. I want to take advantage of you offer some advice on what to build. At the moment i have an Acer xc600, with an i5 3350P, GeForce 635GT and 16gb ram. It is a Desktop but its laptop parts in it. It started some time argo to make some noise, so i moved the hardware from the “standard case” to an Fractal Design R5 and added 650watt PSU, an SSD and an 240mm AIO. Now the next step is new motherboard and CPU or new graphics card. I have decided to start with the CPU because it's going to take me some time to save the money for the GPU and I what to see if nvidia makes a gtx 1060 and if the price for the 1070 is going to go down, and then there is the r9 480, or is a gtx 970 ok for my needs?!? So i'll start with the CPU, also because my motherboard only has 2 S-ATA ports. I was thinking: AM3+ because there is no waste with onboard graphics. AMD because i can use my 16gb of DDR3 ram and upgrade at some other time. I need a new motherboard anyway, so why not change to AMD. I dont do any 3D, CAD, 4K, video editing or anything really intensive. I play: Kerbal Space, heards of iron 4, arma 3 and some of the Total war games. I'll be up and running for less than $300 (2000DKK). The less i spend on CPU upgrades the sooner i’ll get a new GPU. So what do you say?
  4. Thanks, i just needed confirmation. all my friends are total intel fan-boys. I have an Liquid AIO on my system now and its moving over to the new one
  5. I dont know if i have the patience, i was wating for skylake and at that price point i am not sure if i can afford or what soeed the money to upgrade.
  6. Thanks, i just needed confirmation. all my friends are total intel fan-boys. Tak for svaret
  7. So can one overclock any AMD CPU with any mobo? ( given it is the same socket) i am planning to upgrade my desktop-pc and until now i was thinking intel CPU, but I can get a AMD FX-6300 Black Edition, Socket AM3+, and a MSI 970 GAMING, Socket-AM3+ for the same money as an i5 6600k. I can allso keep my RAM and spend more on a GPU, and perhaps a more powerful CPU. I am not a big gamer, i play stuff like hears of iron 4 and kerbal space program. I am going to have an grafiks card anyway.
