How to fix system32/srttrail couldn't be extracted
CowsGoMoo32 replied to Cantaloupeman's topic in Troubleshooting
I also ran into this issue today. After a fresh install, I am having different issues. Not sure if we have similar specs or anything. -
Built this PC myself, have had for a couple of years now I believe. No problems until last night. Shut down PC and the monitor turned off but the PC and keyboard (RGB lights) stayed on. Forced restart with restart button my PC case. Once rebooted I got an error c:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt. I could not fix this issue after several YouTube videos and PC would not start to windows. Fresh install Windows 10 the same as before. Now PC on shutdown and startup takes 5 minutes or so. Once loaded in no issues including in games. Currently, Disk manager just says "connecting to the virtual server." I see both SSD's in file explorer, however, only my boot drive is showing size. Once the PC is booted I experience no issues or slow load times... Office PC - Build or Prebuilt? ($400 budget)
CowsGoMoo32 replied to CowsGoMoo32's topic in New Builds and Planning
Really like these improvements. I am going to go with this build. Thank you for the help. They really like a desktop hard to get older people to switch what they want. Plus already have decent monitors and peripherals. I will install windows 10 from a code I have. The RAM will be the G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2800 Memory from above. -

Receive training information on CD's still. Many companies in our field still run on outdated methods. -

Office PC - Build or Prebuilt? ($400 budget)
CowsGoMoo32 replied to CowsGoMoo32's topic in New Builds and Planning
$400 per PC. No monitor or peripherals needed. No windows license needed. -
I am in a volunteer organization that is looking to upgrade their PC's. The PC's are used for basic task mainly cloud based services like Quickbooks. I was looking at building the 2 PC's we need with this build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mLLRCb Current PC Specs: Pentium Dual Core CPU - 2GB Ram - Windows 7 32 bit with a 200gb hard drive. But when I was taking to a friend in the IT field he said to look into prebuilts for small offices instead of building a PC. Thoughts on the build? Prebuilt or build?

Rode NT USB Mic not transmitting mic audio
CowsGoMoo32 replied to CowsGoMoo32's topic in Troubleshooting
Nevermind after trying just about everything I changed "Microphone Privacy Settings" turned the "Allow apps to access your microphone" to "On" even though it says windows does not need this setting on to have the device work in Windows.... -
I have a Rode NT-USB mic. Recently the mic does not put out my audio from the mic into whatever application like Skype, discord, or any game. I tried changing ports, this did not help. I tried changing sound settings and the wave for audio in sound setting goes up when I talk but again this audio is not transmitted on any application just shows that there is sound in the sound setting. I can also hear sound if I turn the knob on the mic from the device to the mic I can hear myself speak. I tried to find updated drivers on the Rode website and google but cannot find any. I can still hear audio from the mic from my headphones (Bose QC35 if that matters) coming from my pc (and the mic if I turn the knob as I said before) Any help would be appreciated.

Monitor stand for triple monitor (1 - 34" and 2 - 29")
CowsGoMoo32 replied to CowsGoMoo32's topic in Displays
Jeez more money than I thought. I was just thinking maybe I should get 3 separate arms while not an optimal solution as you said not many people are looking for a solution to a to this. Any recommendations for this? -
I have looked all around for a triple monitor stand for my three monitors which are 2 - Dell UltraSharp 29 Ultrawide Monitor – U2917W and a ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34-Inch Curved Ultra-Wide in the middle I have looked all over to find a stand that I could put all 3 on with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good looks. Any cons you know of?
-
Looking to go to a single monitor set up with just 1 ultra wide. Do about a 70/30 mix of working (word, power point, websites, youtube) to 30 percent gaming. Which monitor should I get in my price range? Thank you for the help! Specs shouldn't be an issue as I will be upgrading to a 1080ti currently on a 980ti. Edit: Signature has wrong specs havnt used the forums in a lonnng time.
