  1. Also, for anyone that is curious - here is the unit I have been running for the past eight years! https://www.newegg.com/antec-hcg-m-series-hcg-620m-620w/p/N82E16817371059?Item=N82E16817371059
  2. Thanks sir. I went ahead and ordered it because I saw the low stock alert pop up and it made me nervous.
  3. Since you guys are so opinionated, what do you think of the Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850W 80+ Gold? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PZR9JLT/
  4. Mainly asking in regards to the crazy market shifts surrounding COVID-19. I have not really been following PSUs.
  5. And when it doesn't get better and I am stuck with a RTX 3070 that is being under-powered with my existing PSU?
  6. In most cases it is a difference of ~$20 - not really concerned there.
  7. Once again - I want the overhead so I do not have to worry about upgrades in the future. My original question is not really regarding my brand or wattage choice, and more about the timing of when I should purchase a new unit in regards to the release of the new graphics cards.
  8. Not about "needing" it necessarily, it is about future-proofing.
  9. CPU is already overclocked. I honestly need a new PSU now, which is why I am in the market for one. I have a very old 650 watt Antec unit now. I plan on buying a 1000 watt unit and I know for a fact that the RTX 3070 will not need anymore than that. NVIDIA also confirmed that they are shipping the adapters for the new power connector, so I am set there as well.
  10. Hey guys! I plan on picking up the RTX 3070 as soon as preorders for it go live. I want to also upgrade my power supply as part of this cycle of upgrades. Would you recommend I go ahead and pick one up or wait until I have purchased the card? I am looking to buy this unit directly from EVGA's website: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=120-GP-1000-X1 Thanks for your advice!
  11. This 8-port Netgear GS308 un-managed switch has served me well: https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Ethernet-Unmanaged-Internet-Splitter/dp/B00KFD0SEA/
  12. Are you seeing this just in the menus/lobby, or in-game as well? Some setting has to be limiting your FPS somewhere. Check the Fortnite graphics tab - there is an option for VSYNC (obviously disable this) but also check the frame limit near the top.
  13. I've just gotten in to the habit of actually shutting the game down. It does not take that long to load back in.
  14. I'd get the GIgabyte one, but I agree with @Jaggsta - at this point I would wait for the new cards to come out. Side Note: I really like the ASUS Strix line of graphics cards.
  15. All personal preference IMO - I don't care much for exclusives to begin with and the multi-platform stuff is better on XBOX.
