  9. I know that I wont be able to do dual Xeons for $200...I was just saying I'd like to have dual Xeons in the future , but I've found parts to build a quad core, HTed, with 16gb of ECC and a dell MOBO for about $162 so....yah. I already have a PSU and case (probably wont fit in case but I'll find somewhere to put it) but yah...
  10. and i think the most i could get my dad to pay (I'd pay him back when I get the $$$) is like $150-$200, and I already have like $85 (im going to buy GTAV tho since its on sale on steam) so like $50 from me plus however much I can "loan" from my dad
  11. Thx, funny enough i was looking at xeons and found that exact one earlier, i think im gonna convince my dad to help me pay for one of those and a mobo
  12. lll be editing and rendering videos in DaVinci Resolve, I just want something better than my pentium g3258 since when i watch it to check if theres anything messed up before i render it, it lags like crazy and uses 100% of my cpu so.... I just want a cheap quad core xeon build i can make for under $200ish
  13. So, I've been wanting to build a dual xeon rendering machine for a while now, but I wanted your guys suggestions on which processors are the best bang for the buck. Requirements: 1: Quad core Xeon with HT 2: Under $150-$200 3: 8gb of ram or more Wants: 1: Dual socket mobo with 2 quad core Xeons with HT 2: 16gb of ram or more 3: 2.5ghz clockspeed and above Thanks guys
  14. Yes, there will be a headphone and microphone jack, there are also headphone and microphone ports on the Corsair 750d. In terms of USB ports there will be 4 USB 2.0 jacks (2 on mobo, 2 on case) and 5 USB 3.0 ports (2 on case, 3 on mobo) as well as a USB 3 Type-C port on the mother board. And if you want Windows 10 you can find it on kinguin for $30 (USD) Or from Microsoft for $120-$200 depending on what version you pick, you can also get it for $95-$130 at Microcenter
  15. This should be fine for what you want to do, and if you REALLY want a gtx1080 then just get it instead. But with this setup its ~$1k cheaper and it will be fine for what you want to do PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/8wnTr7 Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/8wnTr7/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($329.99 @ Newegg) CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($93.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Asus Z170-PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($179.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($86.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Sandisk Ultra II 960GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($211.77 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($196.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Dual Series Video Card ($408.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case ($109.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair 760W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($128.99 @ Newegg) Total: $1739.69 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-10-22 15:30 EDT-0400

  21. not all i5's, if he has a 4690 or a 4690k it probably wouldn't bottleneck it...just saying.
  22. well, you're wrong, my family has google fiber and we get gigabit for about $70-$80 (not exactly sure, but its around that price) a month soooooo
  23. no, i said its cheaper in europe, than in the us. and the reason the kraken and the psu are $0 is because you said you already have them
  24. and i checked the prices in the US and its actually cheaper in europe than the US
