    I need help to pick a os for my NAS. I want it to be free or as cheap as possible. Ive heard of "Freenas" and "Rockstor" but I don't know what's the best for a beginner. I havent used any oter os than windows and i guess most of the NAS OSes are Linux based.

    Hello! What is the difference between ddr ram and sdram? I am going to build a NAS and i have 2 xeons who it says it supports ddr3 memory but the motherboard (i want to buy) says it supports "ddr3 sdram" does normal ddr3 ram work?

    Well im on a budget and that ddr3 ram is expensive on the 1366 but the motherboards ar cheaper and cpus are 6 core insted of 4 (budget 2000 swedish crowns ~ 200usd) Btw is "RockStor" a good NAS OS or is "FreeNas" better?
