  1. Solved this. I unplugged the monitor from everything and left it overnight - it booted normally this morning.
  2. Hi all, I booted my Razer Blade this morning to find that it was no longer detecting my USB-C (to Display Port) attached monitor - a Dell SG2716DG. When I re-plug the monitor in I get this message: We had a power cut earlier in the day, but both the laptop and the monitor were powered off. Laptop had its power cable plugged in and monitor into the laptop. Could the power cut have caused this? Is there any easy way to tell which of my devices might be broken? I've tried powering everything down and waiting a few minutes, and I've tried factory resetting the monitor. The HDMI connection works fine, but I don't want to be limited to 60fps. Help appreciated, Cheers
  3. Possibly solved... Turning off 'Smart Wi-Fi switcher' in the settings has fixed this (for now), but I'll test again tomorrow just to be sure.
  4. Android 7.1.1, Oxygen OS 4.1.3 The phone asked me to update to this when I powered it on the first time.
  5. Just got a brand new shiny Oneplus 3T midnight black edition and I'm having issues connecting to my home wifi network. It connected fine the first time. As soon as I go out of range and return (go to work, connect to wifi there, come home) it won't let me connect. I just repeatedly get the "Sign in to a wi-fi network" message. On the wifi settings it says "Connected, no internet" I thought I'd fixed this issue by restoring my phone to factory settings, but it's persisting. I've also tried disabling 5GHz, changing the 2.4GHz the g/n only, setting a static IP, and rebooting my router and phone. Going a bit insane since I live in a place where 3/4G is pretty non-existent, and I really love this phone aside from this one issue. Any advice?
  6. Dress it up like a small child and sit it on the seat next to you. Completely legit.
  7. I just bought this monitor: https://iiyama.com/gb_en/products/g-master-gb2888uhsu-b1/ and after finally getting it to display 4k @ 60Hz I have found an issue with tearing when I'm scrolling on web pages. I made a short video of what's happening as it's hard to explain: Not sure how to fix
  8. So perhaps something like this? https://www.debenhamsplus.com/p/1093945/lg-34um68-p-full-hd-led-1_9-ultrawide-dp-hdmi-ips-34-monitor I'm shopping with this store because I have a £45 gift card from an unwanted christmas gift
  9. For the past 6-7 years I've been using an ASUS VG236H 3D monitor and a crappy ViewSonic 2nd monitor and I'm feeling like an upgrade. I saw this Samsung 24" curved monitor at a pretty good price: https://www.debenhamsplus.com/p/1054439/samsung-ls4e510csxu-curved-hdmi-4-monitor They are 1920x1080 VA panels I could definitely make use of the extra screen real estate for general usage, so my question; is triple monitor surround worth it at this monitor size/price? Personal feelings and experiences welcome =)
  10. What settings are you using on Intel Burn Test, and how long do you run the test?
  11. What tools are people using to test an overclock for stability these days? Prime 95? It's been a few years since I did it, but Scrapyard Wars inspired me to bump my 2500K back up to 4.4GHz
  12. Thanks for the eternal sarcasm. It's not like I've already bought anything, just trying to get a general consensus. Linus hit a 1% chance, then?
  13. Yeah, I understand the risk. Mostly wondering if anyone's had any experience/success doing something like this in the past.
