  1. Will i did a windows diagnostic on my harddrive and it stated it had errors, let it run its repair on restart aaand it said it couldn't fix it, aaand as far as the flashing goes not much more detail to tell there, it flashes as in going quickly to black and back to normal display repetitively and at random, and while it flashes the whole computer locks up and then suddenly reverts to a normal state.
  2. So i literally just fixed my cpu cooler, things ran great for a couple days and now im getting an issue where my monitor will start flashing and my whole pc will freeze up and lag, aaand then goes back to normal for a bit and then does it again at random intervals. Im stumped on this one but i have a feeling that it is the HD, because everything else is getting power and running away optimal temps. And ideas?
  3. I don't know the exact brand, got it second hand when i rebuilt my computer but it's a full atx case.
  4. Also i wanted to shoot out if i were to get a new cooler, it's there anything specific i need to look for besides socket type? I don't think the tdp matters since a stock cooler was sufficient before.
  5. That is correct it spun fine by hand but jitters when connected to the pc.
  6. I also tried using a different fan header And it still does the exact same jittering as it did before
  7. So I just booted up and checked the mother board settings for CPU fan usage and it's set to full on so I do not think it is because of the fan speed settings
  8. Also i will make a note the i have since removed the heatsink from the cpu to inspect and im wondering since i don't see proper responses anywhere, i don't have any thermal paste on hand, do i need to clean and reapply thermal paste to put the heatsink back in place?
  9. Why would it have been fine before though? I haven't messed with the bios in a long time.
  10. Only have one 4 pin cpu header, the other is a 3 pin and the fan it has uses a 4
  11. So for a year and a half or so ive had this stock Intel cooler, works fine, one day i look through my see through side panel aaand notice it's not spinning, just kind of jittering, i blow some compressed air on it and give it a little manual spin to see if anything's clogging it, no problems, start the computer back up, still jittering, is it completely busted or what?
  12. so i got my first hint as to what this is, can a graphics card cause a whole computer to crash? the screen went multicolored this time at the bottom half and then did its usual thing.
  13. i have run out of all options now, ive tried everything, system maintenance, ran a ram diagnostic (no reported issues), did another thorough cleaning, checked all temps under load (no issues), ran a check disk diagnostic (no issues), problem still remains...i am at a complete loss.
  14. bump, still having this issue on occasion and now it freezes entirely, sound with glitch out super hard and i have to hold down the power button and reboot.
  15. so you are saying i should reset the bios?
  16. So basically after a certain amount of time my monitor black screens and occasionally loops audio, but most of the time it just black screens and i still hear everything as normal. I updated drivers and reseated the card but to no avail. cleaned out my case as well for good measure and upped airflow in case it was a temp issue but temps are reading fine. whenever i restart the computer it acts fine again until it happens again, where i have to restart the computer to get a display again. any ideas? i'm kinda stumped.
  17. So i got it to work, shut pod the computer and have out a decent push into the motherboard and it works now... must have gotten unseated somehow?
  18. which to me is strange since typically gpus shouldnt stop displaying when they aren't cleaned for a while...and by awhile i mean like less than a month.
  19. nothing really of note, its had this problem in the past but i usually clean it and it works fine again
  20. Hmmmm so i successfully removed all amd drivers but when i try and reinstall it pops up with this
  21. so clean and restart, install new drivers, restart again with hdmi plugged into the gpu?
  22. Is ddu a program?
  23. also it seems like it goes through a different driver now and it did recently update like, yesterdya which is when i started having issues...? however when i try to install the drivers it says it doesn't detect any AMD hardware???
