  1. Hey, so I got these new headphones from massdrop and am wondering what settings would be best in SupremeFX HD Audio Manager. This is the audio configurator that is included with my Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard. Not sure whether to set it to stereo, quadraphonic, 5.1 speaker, or 7.1 speaker. What would be best for gaming? Thanks!
  2. So I have Windows installed on an SSD (Samsung 850 Evo 2.5”), but am going to be installing a Samsung 970 Evo M.2 into my Maximus Viii Hero soon and want to use the Samsung cloning software to copy over Windows and all my data. Issue is, if I put in the M.2, it will disable the sata slot where my Windows drive is connected to. If I plug my Windows drive into another slot, will it still boot or does it have to be in slot 0? I may have to change boot priorities in the bios, but will it work? Thanks!
  3. Why is that? How are other people getting them? Galax is in NA while KFA2 is in other regions.
  4. Where can I get one? They don’t seem to be for sale anywhere. Before you judge, the only reason I am getting this over the other 1080 Ti’s is purely for asthetic, not for any performance gains. Thanks!
  5. I’m planning on getting a motherboard that has built in wifi and bluetooth, but I hear it isn’t that great. I have my own wifi card. Would I be able to disable the onboard wifi and use my wifi card? Thanks!
  6. Are there any Sennheiser gaming headphones that don’t include the microphone? Yes I know I could just put it upand not use it, but I prefer one without a microphone like the HD 558 I have. By “gaming” headset, I am referring to one that has 7.1 surround. The HD 558s sound great and crisp, but the lack of 7.1 makes for slightly less accurate surround sound in games. It doesn’t have to be specifically Sennheiser, but I prefer something of similiar style and build quality. Looking to spend under $200. Also, I prefer open back headphones. Thanks!
  7. True true, someone recommended it on another forum. I don’t need the boost anyways. The 7700k at stock speed provides plenty of power.
  8. Then why does my personal computer show 3000? My ram is 3000mhz not 6000
  9. In most cases, turning on xmp causes CPU to always be at turbo causing more wear and heat.
  10. So I have two issues. I’ve been setting up computers at my work and am getting issues with two of them. First one has a i7 7700k, Vengeance lpx 2400 2x8GB, 1050TI, and Maximus VIII Hero mobo. I had to update bios in order for the cpu to be compatible. I went into bios and turned off turbo mode for cpu, turned on xmp profile and extreme tweaker and made sure the timings were set properly and the frequency was set to 2400mhz. Once I boot up and open cpu-z, it is still showing it as 1200mhz. Whats going on exactly? What can I do to fix it? Second computer has a similiar issue, but the bios is much more basic. It has an intel motherboard so not much tweaking you can do, it is not possible for me to manually adjust the frequency/timings for the ram which is also showing as 1200mhz in cpu-z. This is bottleneckkng the cpu in certain programs and causing things to load very slowly/laggy. This pc wasn’t built by us, but instead by dell. Not much info on the components other than the cpu being an i7 7700. Service tag is 2LVKHH2 which can be looked up on intel’s site for components and more info. How can I configure the memory on this system? Thanks for the help!
  11. So I do know that I have to update the BIOS/UEFI in order to pair a 7700K with a Hero VIII, but I heard that I won't get all the features of the motherboard by doing so. What are those features I'm missing out on anyways? Will the CPU be less stable on this slightly older motherboard? Thanks!
  12. This topic is basically closed. I didn’t know you can assign fan speed curves to different component tempts and now I do.
  13. They are plugged into the block and the cpu fan is disabled as I said in my post. I am able to control the fans just fine, they just don’t ramp up and down as they should.
