With the new bill that passed in the senate, it looks like the beginning of the end of internet privacy. Even if the bill doesn't pass in the house tomorrow, I'm still going to go the private route as a precaution and because it's bad enough without the bill.
I was thinking to start with switching to linux, I'll probably use Arch for those nice repositories.
Then I'll make the switch to Firefox and duckduckgo from Chrome and Google. This part I'm unsure about because I'll still use things like my email and I enjoy using Chrome and Google more than the Firefox and duckduckgo.
Finally I was going to get private internet access. It looks like a great, cheap VPN and I get letters from my ISP for torrenting so that should be the end of that.
