yeah @techstorm970 the worst part is how smug AMD users are as they need physical access to the system to do this exploit, called spectre i believe, @AluminiumTech has some posts on this which are worth a read

it will require a hardware patch to properly fix this issue

@techstorm970 its a flaw in the kernel meaning theres a memory leak allowing anyone to control your computer

  7. Hey there so Ive been browsing around the web with the idea of getting a decent Stereo setup which i plan to add to (like getting a sub). To no luck on finding what i need I thought Id ask here as this is the best place For me that provides advice. My Budget is £250 for the speakers and amp, I want to play music (ideally sounding good in all genres, like a middle-ground), watch yt and film, add an extra dimension of immersion to my games and usefull for Video editing and i may do music production later though thats not a priority at ALL (the last 2 points are my Focus). as for the Amp Im clueless as to what would drive my speakers (I was thinking about wharfdale diamond 9.1's) and if an a/v reciever would be useful instead as i could do 5.1 later and have my PC and other media devices run through it. Thanks
  8. Please read OP, i cant access live usb to reinstall
  9. Reset the cmos, flashed the bios twice, once before cpu swap and one after, checked that settings are stock
  10. Greetings, So i recently swapped my i5 7600k to a 6700 (ty hsuk) and ever since my pc wont boot into windows, wether its from my ssd, or a live usb. The cycle is as follows: Power on, posts fine, i see spinning dots indicating windows is loading then the dots freeze, enters bluescreen which has one of the following stop codes (they change every boot): System thread exception not handled IRQL arent less than equal KMODE exception And a few others i can't remember. Pic of socket (before i fixed it) : My specs: Im running latest version of bios, all hardware is detected in bios fine, i seen bent pin on socket though fixed it and still same error, Ive ran out of ideas though the seller said I can return the i7 and see if its my mobo or the cpu is defective. So any ideas on what to do in meantime? Many thanks for your help Patrick
  11. Lol 1030s stuck, thanks for the input, Mainly wondering about 1080p60 and would a Maxwell/Pascal quadro be fine or are the gaming cards faster/cheaper
  12. Hey there, first of all i apologise if this is incorrect subforum, was realted to gpus so i pciekd this. Im looking at a secondary Gpu thats cheap like a 660 for example to use for live streams and encode in real-time. Didn't know where to look but i believe nvidia cards are good? cheers and ill be sleeping after this so ill reply tommorow
  13. Indeed. Not that Id be doing a parallel Loop for a LONG time (due to cost) but knowing the feasibility of certain things/ Kinda Off-topic but thoughts on this config? Orange tubing is In front Of white Tubing (helps visualise depth?) Edit: Except the run from cpu > bottom rad > gpu (the cpu > bottom rad is behind the tube that goes from bottom rad to gpu
  14. Well good to hear this is informational, what about parallel 280mm radiators for example, would it be fine then?
  15. Think of it this way, the 'restriction' in flow between the cards is like adding an item that weights 10kg one that weights 20kg and 30kg to a rocket but the rocket has plenty of thrust to lift up the 3 items, basically yes there's a resistance, it's not much and the pump has plenty of power to push the fluid through meaning in real world it isn't noticeable at all and does NOT affect performance
  16. Tbh only reason I considered running CPU and ram was it looked tidier, suppose easiest method of testing would be CPU temps before and after ram block being added in parallel (can a mod just delete this topic already, waste of time and space)
  17. Why do I even bother continuing this also you need some tempered glass aluminum buttons and drawpad with optane to help you draw faster
  18. You realise you contradicted yourself by saying if all lines are same length then equal flow then saying that the cards are different lengths, it still works, if you still can't wrap your head around it I'll make some fancy paint diagrams in the morning
