  1. That could be as to why, but I cannot investigate further because Qualcomm's website doesn't want to cooperate at the time of writing this and I cannot figure out which 4G/LTE frequencies the SOC of the Fossil Gen 5 LTE supports. The SOC in question is the Snapdragon Wear 3100, but of course any other sources that could tell me are hiding right now as well
  2. Hello everyone! Firstly, I apologize in advance if this topic doesn't fit in the phone's and tablets forum, but it was the next best thing in my eyes. Now my actual question: Does anyone know if you DO have to get an eSIM from a provider specified by Fossil for the Gen 5 LTE? (Verizon in the US iirc, Vodafone/Orange in Germany, etc.) It DOES say so on the website and the support also told me to get an eSIM from the provider of my country. But what it says on the box and what it can actually do are two very, very different things. Support also couldn't (or rather wouldn't) tell me why I have to get the eSIM from Vodafone. Is it just a "We know this will definitely work, get off our buns with everything else!" kind of move? Could it be some sort of exclusivity agreement? I don't want to get into my choice of SmartWatch or my adversion to a specific provider, I just want to know if I have to bite the bullet and go with the specified provider, look for a different Google WearOS SmartWatch or if it's all just BS that marketing has constructed. Patiently waiting for an answer TitanOne
  3. Problem is that that specific model of Fritzbox doesn't have a WAN port, which already makes it more complicated (and I'm not thrilled about spending 150€ on a used one with a WAN port). And I'm not really sure if adding a dual WAN router would even work in my case, considering the WiFi Mesh needs the Fritzbox to function at all (will the Mesh still work if piped through another router?) and placing the 4G router next to the Fritzbox is a less than ideal position (external antennas won't get me far as I'd have to fight two load bearing brick walls to get them anywhere close to a window). I could look into getting a fibre optic cable between the ground floor and the second floor where I am pulled for the 4G to DSL connection, but that would be an adventure of its own and I'd probably still have to get another router.
  4. Heyho! I recently got myself a 4G router. It's awesome, WiFi wherever I am. Now I want to use it at home when our DSL internet connection has its classical problems. Problems with that however are: -I only want specific devices to use the 4G connection -the devices should automatically use the DSL internet when the 4G is unavailable (I let friends borrow the mobile router occasionally) -the specific devices should be able to use the 4G connection when connected to the WiFi mesh As far as I know, under Windows you can set an alternative gateway without too much hassle. But what about Android devices? If it's possible I'd like the network to be the one to take care of routing towards the right gateway. EDIT: The DSL modem/router combo (an abomination, I know) is a Fritzbox 7530 variant while the 4G router is a Speedbox 2 (made by ZTE for Deutsche Telekom AG) :EDIT END Thanks!
  5. That is one of the issues The other issue is that right now I will have to get approval of two entirely seperate IT departments to actually use Synergy. Furthermore, I may get relocated at any point in time after 28th September, which means I will have to fight with more departments down the line the more I get relocated. I have decided to wait for now, and see if it is feasible to fight with the first three (two now, one after the 28th). Still, thank you for your kind offer to help! Fingers crossed, and now waiting!
  6. Yo! Is there a hardware solution like Synergy? I wanna use the same peripherals on two computers but I can't install Synergy on one of them due to the security. Something like a cable going from one PC, where the peripherals are plugged in, to the other? [EDIT] Oh, the reason why I need a solution going from one PC to another is because approximately ten people will screech at me if I unplug a single thing from the existing workplace. [EDIT END] Thanks a lot!
  7. The question was mostly to satisfy my curiosity On the topic of selecting the drive: Maybe the XBox OS is handling it like a PC, as in that it shows every drive and you choose your game as if it was a digital copy. But idk, I would try it out if I wasn't too scared to break my XBox. EDIT: Who knows, maybe you can add more storage that way.
  8. Greetings, human beings I've gotten myself access to XBox game streaming recently (really cool, just have to upgrade my home network, but that's already in the works). If you are like me, you prefer games on disk more than as a digital copy, for whatever reason. One downside to this tho is when you have little siblings, that are too young to play DOOM or other FPS games, is that you constantly need to swap the disks. Too little sleep and a weird brain conjured up the following idea: Take a SATA expander PCB from a Server or somewhere, connect it to the SATA port of the original XBox disk drive and connect more of the same model disk drives to the expander. Would the XBox recognize all drives or would it straight up seize to cooperate? EDIT: The (S) in the title is there because I own an XBox One S, but if it works on an X as well it would be nice to know!
  9. At least I didn't order a new one in vain
  10. It should be 5v (or 12v when quickcharge kicks in, gotta measure again to make sure. EDIT: Nope, Quickcharge stays off, the voltage out of the Micro USB cable stays at around 4.83v EDIT END But i also tried with a different charger and it's still the same behavior as described below) When i disconnect the battery and plug the charger in the voltage at the battery terminals jumps up to 3.8v, with the battery connected it floats around the marks mentioned above
  11. Hello! Imma keep this short: My phone does not want to recharge the battery. I've opened it up and measured the battery voltage and noticed that it goes up from 2.7V up to 2.8-2.81v with the charger plugged in and then dips below 2.7v, onpy to crawl up slowly again. Would the issue be the battery or the charge circuitry in the phone?
  12. I will definitely have to try that, thanks!
  13. Greetings from the strange lands of Germany! (I don't know if this belongs here, but we'll see :/) At place I'm doing volunteer work for I am responsible for the guest PCs, mostly used by children. As one might guess, they like to mess with EVERYTHING on the computers, giving me a hard time (Windows 10 is not helping with the setup process). And because they are funny little buggers, it's often stuff that is important to system functionality, forcing me to reinstall HECCIN' Windows yet again! (Yes, they SOMEHOW magically do that without a Admin password, even though I set the account to non-admin) Is there some (preferably free or REALLY cheap) way to make my life easier? Like, I just access the machines from another one or even a phone and like, reset them to a certain state? It's five PCs, with an open Guest account and an password protected Admin account. I honestly don't know how old those are. Or the hardware they have. Thanks for coming to my TED-Talk half-rant, half-cry for help
  14. Well, in terms of Processor and Ram, a bit more won't Hurt for Minecraft. About the SSD, idk, sorry. But a goOd NIC is a good idea for at home use.
  15. Who also wants a Drop it Compilation?
  16. I haven't heard about it. Where did you find that Info though?
  17. Buggin' me as well, Buddy. Either a Xeon (Wow, there are like threr or more 18 Core Xeons in Intels lineup) or the rumoured X299 Model.
  18. Sooooo, you probably have heard of Apple announcing the "iMac Pro" (If you watch the WAN Show you will definetly). The Features sound pretty darn cool (I will ignore the price), with up to 18 Cores, 128GB Ram, 4TB of Storage at 3GB/s and more stuff. The Thing is, I am not sure how Apple will do some of the stuff and would like to know the Community's oppinion. For Example the Storage: What do you think? Two M.2s in Raid 0? Or the GODDAMN MONITOR SUPPORT: Native 5K Screen PLUS Two additional ones over Thunderbolt 3!? That's almost 44 MILLION Pixels! Will Vega be that powerful to support it on one GPU at decent FPS? Or will a, for example, SLI Setup with 1080Ti's be enough (then we could predict Vega performance, right? Right?)?
  19. Hey there (maybe Linus also): How mich Performance do you get with three 4k screens and (if possible) even three 5k screens on a single Titan X (fps?)?
