    amp or soundcard?

ah cool! thats def something ill take a look at. What about for sound quality? My onboard sound doesn't push my headphones very well. I'm also using Voicemeeter Banana so my I don't have a physical volume knob which I find burdensome. also thanks for the quick reply!

    amp or soundcard?

Hey everyone, I'm finally upgrading some audio on my PC. I have some basic 2.1 desktop speakers (going to upgrade eventually), Pioneer HDJ-2000MK2 that I use for music/gaming, and I also have a Blue Yeti mic. I want to be able to switch from desktop speakers to mic pretty easy, I was looking into the Sennheiser GSX-1000 since I can switch with a quick press... But for the price I was thinking maybe a sound card would be a better choice? Could I hook the Blue Yeti to the sound card or amp too? Sorry for such a noob question, this audio stuff is all new to me. Thanks!
  4. Hey everyone, I just got a Blue Yeti blackout with a Radius 2 shock mount. I plan on putting it on my overhead shelf and bringing the arm down to me, but I keep finding mixed reviews on amazon on these cheaper boom arms. I don't want to buy a rode or anything pricey like that just yet. Some people been saying that they are too weak to hold both the yeti and a shock mount together. Does anyone have any recommendations on which boom arm can support the Yeti and Radius combo? Thanks!
  5. Thanks for all the replies. Im pretty set on the cm700 now. Still a bit torn on what router I should get.
  6. i believe its 400mbps. I was on 150mbps for the longest time and never had issues. I recently went to 250mbps and I'm pretty happy with the speed. I just want better range and save a little money by using my own modem/router
  7. that's good to hear. I honestly won't be doing anything really to the modem. I just want to get it set up and pretty much forget about it lol the way my house is laid out, My PC and modem are about 30-40 feet apart MAX but its going through 2-3 walls. I would think it would have a much better connection then it really does though. My 2.4 barely reaches my ring door bell and if I'm in my garage... I HAVE to turn off my wifi on my phone or it would keep trying to connect.
  8. haha yeah I'm just hoping a better set up like this would get 5ghz to my computer better. I keep the modem in my master bedroom and my gaming PC is actually really close to it, But its going through 3 walls. My home is about 1900sq ft
  9. I see it on Amazon for $144 right now. I mainly need better range compared to the rental unit. My gaming computer is actually on wireless and I've never had an issue the past 2 years with it, However my 5ghz range to my gaming computer is horrible lol
  10. So I've been wanting to save a few bucks every month by buying my own modem and router. I have Xfinity 250mbps with their rental modem/router and I'm thinking about getting the following. Netgear CM700 TP-Link AC3200 OR AC2600 I do want something overkill just in case I decide to get a faster plan. I also want a lot better range. As for all the devices connected to my wifi at my home I have... 4x phones 2x tablets 1x ring door bell 1x nest camera 3x computers (1 is hardwired) 1x garage door opener (hardwired) Would the modem/router be a good combo? Thanks!
  11. I've been trying to figure this out for couple days now and I can't find the reason why my fan/pump controller settings in Fan Xpert 3 in AI suite 3 is not saving after I restart or boot the PC. I have a EK PWM pump connected to the pump header on my Asus Z170A and I enabled PWM in the Bios. Everything works except when I turn off my computer or restart it. everything would start at 100% until I go in and make a change to save it. The settings I have save in Fan Xpert but the pump and fans does not react to the settings until I make a change and hit apply. Should I try a different program or is there some sort of fix? Its getting pretty annoying to have to mess with the settings every time I boot. Thanks in advance!

    Mini ITX build

Sorry guys! I totally forgot to update this thread. The build went pretty smooth, besides the original MB came DOA. after figuring out that the MB was dead, I quickly ordered one on amazon (thanks for 1 day shipping) and got everything buttoned up and running. here is a photo of it finished in his tool box.

    Mini ITX build

So finally got all the parts yesterday. After assembling everything, I powered it on, it posted, but nothing displayed. I checked to make sure I had the memory installed correctly, checked all my connections, and even checked my CPU. Everything looked fine and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't displaying anything. I then gave up and ordered a new motherboard. AMAZON PRIME 1 day shipping is amazing! lol. I then installed the new MB and it finally worked! Installed Windows and drivers, I'm just waiting for my WiFi antennas to show up on Wednesday now. I will post more photos once I open up the case again (I forgot to take more photos when I was assembling it) Here's a photo of it next to my Phanteks Enthoo Luxe.

That case looks great! However for this build it wouldn't work out as well since its quite a bit wider then the Luna Designs. I will grab a photo of his tool box and show you guys where I'm planning on mounting everything. He wants everything to take up as little space as possible, which is understandable since it is a tool box and not a regular desk.
