Thanks for the reply. I tried this with my Wacom and it worked perfectly (not sure why it didn't work for you), but for some reason, my desktop wallpaper area goes nuts whenever i run the script and it has a very strange behavior where wherever i move my mouse, my wallpaper is replaced with a solid color and later on it's the opposite. I think i'm going to stick with using the express keys on my wacom, at least it does not give me a strange behavior. Thanks again for the help tho!

I use a pen tablet (Wacom) sometimes for working, and I have the buttons on my pen set to do other commands that I use more often, however, it would be great if I was able to hold control on my keyboard (or any other key) + tap with my pen to be able to do a Right click, just like you are able to do it on iMacs. Is this possible? I was looking into AutoHotKey, but it looks like it's not something that can be set and left running, more like I would have to do a keystroke to do a right click, which is not what I'm after. I'm on Windows 10 up to date. Any help would be greatly appreciated! PS: I know I can use the Express Keys on the tablet but the way I work this would mean switching either my right hand to press one of the keys or my left which is further away because I set my keyboard (full size) next to my Wacom, so it's a lot of hand movements for every time i want to right click, where the way i'm after I just have to move my left thumb and not switch my right hand position.

Hey man. It's been a while since I've had to worry about syncing ai files over dropbox and i don't believe i found a solution other than zipping the AI file. I think i even talked to Dropbox reps and couldn't find the issue

This Agesa is the Bios updates correct? Is this issue of running all 4 slots at high speeds is something that could be addressed with updates or no? what board do you have? wich ryzen cpu? and you are able to run you RAM at 2666 stable?

Anything you can tell us about the 4 dimm issue? Apparently Ryzen motherboards would not post to windows when all 4 dimms are populated.

are you using all your dimm slots? my thing is that I don't care about running at 3200 i can roll back to a lower frquency but I want to be able to add 16GB and populate all 4 dimms, otherwise I would have to buy two 16gb sticks and toss the ones i have right now which is a waste of money cause i just built the computer 2 months ago

Yeah sorry, that's what I meant, I want to buy the same exact ram that I have and possibly set all of them to a lower frequency if i have issues. Thanks for the info. This is the review I was talking about, I don't remember at which point they talk about the 4 dimm issue, but they do, give it a quick read. same thing. Anything I render out of after effects gives me the same result. My cpu is not overclocked I want to buy an AIO first, right now i have the stock cooler, but still it feels like it should perform a lot better than that. Even rendering with Cinema 4D doesn't go near 100% CPU usage.

I have 16GB of Ram running at 3200. I read a post somewhere I just can't find it right now but they did all kinds of tests and they say populating all dimms creates conflicts and sometimes windows doesn't even post. I don't want to bout another two ram sticks and then don't be able to even use my computer because windows won't post. I don't mind setting the ram speed to something lower like 2933 but being able to have 32gb of RAM i think would be more beneficial for me i just want to make sure i can populate all 4 dimms without issues. The ram I got is G. Skill Flare X 3200MHz so technically I should be able to popualte all 4 dimms and run my memory at the advertised speed right?

yes of course, you can't render out of After Effects via the GPU. I also did a couple of tests rendering straight from AE, rendering via Media Encoder, and rendering with Background renderer for AE. they don't engage the CPU to a full potential, although rendering with BG renderer renders a bit faster the cpu load still doesn't go over 35% or so, I mean i have 8 cores/16 threads, i should be able to render pretty quick

Adding to the RAM speed, I've read that Ryzen motherboards don't perform well when all 4 DIMM slots are populated, this is from threads started back in March, to your knowledge is this still the case? I ask beacuse I have a Ryzen 1700 + 16GB RAM @3200mhz - but there's a bottleneck in my system and I think it's because I need more RAM. I work with After Effects and Cinema 4D simultaneously and my CPU performance doesn't go above 35% when rendering but Memory goes up to 90-95%

it's amazing that they upgrade software but degrade performance, like wtf? I have 8 freaking cores and beacuse of having the newest version of AE I can't make use of all of them? that's stupid and Adobe needs to get their shit together

Hello everyone,Here are the specs:Ryzen 1700 - running at stock no overclock yet as I haven't been able to buy after market cooler.16gb of DDR4 RAM @3200MHz2x GTX 1070 - not in SLI as I don't game, I use these for Octane Render (GPU based rendering)OS SSD - 500GBWorking HDD - 1TB Western Digital BlueRunning Windows 10 64bit up to date / AE CC2017 14.2 / Cinema 4D R17 / Nvidia Drivers up to date / This is a brand new computer I just installed Windows a couple of weeks agoHere are the issues i'm having:1.- Using BG Renderer with Multiprocessing on and set to High Priority, I can't continue using After Effects (I can do this without issue at work on my Intel Machine which has 32GB but CPU speed is pretty much the same)2.- Using Adobe Media Encoder to render an AE comp via Dynamic Link, same thing, AE becomes unusable.3.- In these two screenshots you can see how using BG Renderer or AE Renderer won't use more than 25% of CPU power or more than one Thread. 4.- In this screenshot it's the performance when rendering out of Cinema 4D. Completely different from AE and also while rendering on C4D I can use AE simultaneously. I am pulling assets and rendering from my HDD which is very fast until I hit render. And what I am rendering from C4D is very very simple compared to all the images and effects composited in my AE comps but still don't understand why C4D makes use of all the cores and AE doesn't? why am I able to continue working normally in AE when rendering from C4D and not when using Media Encoder or BG Renderer. Why is my CPU not being used anywhere near to 100% at any point? Disclaimer: Haven't tried pulling and rendering to the SSD but I can't afford a 1TB SSD right now either way or more RAM.

UPDATE: I just did a test and if I'm rendering in the background AE won't even let me RAM preview, it'll give me the "I need two or more frames to preview" famous message, so I'm thinking I either need more ram or faster ram

Yeah BIOS up to date and sent them an email yesterday, still waiting to hear back. This sucks man, I just finished building this pc and installed everything on it, would suck to have to start from scratch. Somebody else suggested to actually go back the previous BIOS update to see if I can Overclock, cause even the settings for the processor are greyed out. It's weird that I can only do XMP or nothing else. This board had very good reviews and Bitwit recommended it a lot...
