I think i will try to replace the mobo and psu, as i think that the psu shorted it out. The cables on the modular psu where connected properly according to the labels on the psu. The cpu is working fine as i tried it on my pc.

Is there a way to know how did I fry them as all the connections where good, bad psu maybe aswell, or bad voltage from the wall ?

Yesterday I was building a friends pc, everything was going well until i tried to power it up. As i started the lights from the motherboard lit up and smoke went up from the cpu/vrm area, and later I go to find out that also his dvd drive was smoking. How can I know what is faulty in this build, i double checked that every connection was well inserted and in the right place. After removing the dvd drive the pc started and all the fans were spinning and lights on, but it didnt boot. Can you help me what is wrong pls. CPU: I7 7700K MOBO: Asus maximux xi hero PSU: Corsair AX860 Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Thanks for all you help

I was using FXAA, but disabling it completely still didn't help much. The only place where the fps spikes up a bit is when i melee a daemon, it goes up to about 30fps and goes right back down again.

I have used both, they gave me the same results more or less

@deXxterlab97 The GPU usage is flactuating between 50 - 100% but mostly close to a 100, while gpu temps are about 65C

I have an MSI R9 380 2G, 8gb ram and an i7 6700, but trying to run doom medium settings will always yield me around 20-15fps no matter what I do and what graphics settings I change. The card performs well in other titles such as GTA V and the witcher. I just cannot diagnose what is happening with Doom. All the help is greatly appreciated

My pc lately is behaving weirdly, at the end of the day when I want to shut it down, it just plays the shut down animations and just restart again, the same goes for when I want it to go to sleep, it just keeps on restarting until I unplug it from the wall. This is all running on windows 10. Thanks for any fixes I can get

You just might aswell save for a 6700k and pair it with a hyper 212 evo, it will give you a more future-proof and power for your needs

I have a core i7 6700non k and i am experiencing temperatures about 50degrees for idle and 81 under load while using a stock cooler. Should i be concerned ?

I have the z170 pro gaming, nothing to complain about so far, had it for 6months now. Its got all the usbs i need bios layout is good, asus ai suite is a welcome bonus and supreme fx is just amazing for me
