  1. How about running android on a PC? Not an emulator but an actual android OS? I'm from the Philippines and work in the food industry (manufacturing and distribution). Our country is in love with their mobile phone and in my line of work the New Samsung Tab S4 with the pogo keyboard is godsend for someone jumping from conference room to conference room. Its light and has a ton of battery. Apps launch quickly, can easily sync on a larger screen making presentations a cinch. Honestly, there's also a lot of good looking games on android. So i think a computer running on android is a cool idea to explore.
  2. I'm confused i thought M.2 uses PCIE lanes? I like the idea of M.2 as i thought it was much faster than a regular SSD and the minimal Size of it appeals to use as it would lessen the clutter on my PC which is in an mATX form factor.
  3. I currently have a 128GB ADATA SSD connected via SATA III (6gb) and a 500GB WD GREEN SSD connected on the other SATA III port. SATA II port for the HDD i use as storage for other games and media i have. Mods for the flight Sims take a lot of space and they ate up the WD GREEN all on their own. I was hoping having an SSD via M.2 will help.
  4. I'm actually looking for a high refresh rate TV that would run at 1440p with low latency. My cousins and i love to play 2k and me and my mates grew up playing Tekken and i like feel of playing flight sims with a large view. Most of the TV currently available to me are 4k Samsung and TCL models. judging from your answer i can best take advantage of the higher resolution if i went with the 1700. Am i right?
  5. Hi, My processor and Motherboard is getting long in the tooth. So i'm looking to update it to something newer to take advantage of newer technology like USB Type C(for better compatibility with my S8) and M.2 (fast loading times) My Current System uses an old i7-3770 paired with a GTX 1070 with only 2 Sata 6gb for SSD. The computer will serve as my primary playing and home streaming NBA 2k17, Dirt and Tekken 7, and playing Flight Sims like DCS, Strike Fighters 2 and IL-2. I may use it for some Photoshop, Blender if i get around studying 3d modeling. And some video editing for my family. An Eight Core System sounds nice hence, the R7 1700, but my flight sims take priority over the other stuff hence the desire for a higher clocked I7-7700K. Frankly my current system can handle all my games just want a bit of improvement in my loading times by using a combination of M.2 and SATA SSDs and probably a bit of a bump on the frame rates. Both Processor and their selection of motherboard will cost me the same amount of money here in the Philippines. DARK HORSE: R5 1600, cost a lot less but i don't know how much of an improvement it is over my 3770.
  6. Stupid question i know but why not? I have an generic CCTV DVR with no branding on it that i have no use for. It look cheap but there is a Decent Drive in it which google say is good and it has an Ethernet Port, USB Ports and HDMI, and it works. So rather than waste it away is there anyway i can just attach it to my router an use it as a Storage for Photos, Movies and Such? Thanks for not flaming!
