  1. I’m thinking of going and buying one tomorrow. But I assume it won’t have windows on it, so I’m kind of stuck.
  2. Hello all, so about a month or so ago, my pc would take about 15 minutes to boot into windows, with the post code Ad, and after some troubleshooting, I couldn’t really find and solve the problem, with potential solutions being the SSD failing, or even the motherboard failing. Now, after this 15 minute period, it sits on the windows loading screen (post code AA, or successfully out of post), forever. Now I’m pretty sure this is an SSD failure, but do you all agree with this conclusion?
  3. I tried clearing CMOS with the button on the motherboard. Any chance it would work better if I actually pulled out the battery??? Also would I have to unplug my drives, or is booting from a drive good enough?
  4. I’ve considered this a possibility. I think I’m going to do a refresh just in case it’s software. Then I’ll check data connections to the mobo, then yeah, I might a new one. It’s a shame, I got the one I have like 2 years ago.
  5. So recently I’ve had some problems with my PC: 1. It takes 15 minutes to boot into into Windows. The post code is Ad, then after 15 minutes, it boots and the Windows 10 loading screen happens. 2. Occasionally, my usb drives just will decide to not accept connections to them. Once, I unplugged and replugged my mouse into my computer and it wouldn’t work. 3. My wifi on my motherboard no longer works. I need to use a wired connection. 4. My screen will occasionally freeze. 5. My HDD (I run Windows on an SSD, but I also have an HDD) is constantly at 100% usage according to task manager. I’m completely stumped as to what might cause all these things to happen. Other than those, the computer runs pretty normally, I honestly don’t even know if the problems are hardware or software sided. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Edit: Just to be clear, it’s not taking a long time to load windows. The screen is black for 15 minutes with the post code Ad, then it starts loading up windows. From there, it boots in no time.
  6. Hi, I was interested in getting a new audio setup for streaming/recording. What would you say are some good audio mixer choices under $100? What potential mics would complement these choices (try to keep as cheap as possible)? Thanks. 2 I were thinking of: https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-802-Premium-8-Input-Preamps/dp/B000J5XS3C/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=audio+mixer&qid=1578973152&sr=8-8 https://www.amazon.com/Alesis-MultiMix-Four-Channel-Integrated-Effects/dp/B00IPF9DX2/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
  7. all i'm really seeing a definite trend of is people saying that it needs more ram in it, but i have some laptop ram sticks lying around my house, so i think i'm good in that aspect.
  8. Do you think that the dell is better than https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-IPS-Type-GeForce-Gigabit-FX505DT-EB73/dp/B07QM4F25N/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=laptop+gtx+1650&qid=1566398265&s=gateway&sr=8-4#customerReviews? Cuz the tuf seems really good. Ryzen 7 with gtx 1650 120 hz monitor and 512 gb ssd is very good, and it has a fan that filters dust
  9. If you think there are laptops that can match a desktop's performance for the same price, could you give me some of the ones that you think would work? Thanks UPDATE: After looking into it, this seems really good in terms of specs: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-IPS-Type-GeForce-Gigabit-FX505DT-EB73/dp/B07QM4F25N/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=laptop+gtx+1650&qid=1566398265&s=gateway&sr=8-4
  10. Hello, the idea of this whole setup is for easy portability while maintaining a fairly low budget. Additionally, I wouldn't use a gaming laptop since they are generally worse than gaming desktops, and many other reasons that are specific to me. Here is the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/CarletonD/saved/#view=22FykL. What do you think?
  11. So at first, I was thinking that since many laptops don't have the actual version of the graphics cards in them, I would make a portable desktop with a mini itx case, maybe the upcoming skyreach 4 mini, but the problem is that the build ends up always being over 1000 in price, that's without the cpu or gpu. Do I have to go with a gaming laptop, or are there other potential options that I could look at?
  12. The fans on the radiator are working. How would I check for blockage if that's the problem?
  13. If the pump is dead, then why would it say in Corsair Link that my pump is at 3060 rpm?
  14. So I have a 5820K cpu and an H100i v2 liquid cooler, and even at like 2% load, my cpu cores are at 80-95 degrees Celsius. I felt the tubing to the radiator, and it is extremely hot. I rid of all the dust in the radiator, turned overclocking off, nothing is changing. Also, my cooler seems to be working fine, it is pumping liquid to radiator according to corsair link. What do I do?
  15. So here’s what happens: - I turn on the laptop - The Dell logo shows up with the swirling loading sign - The screen goes dark, no lock screen, but it is still on, but it never gets to the lock screen i tried to boot with a recovery drive, but the same thing happens. Any ideas?
  16. My mobo doesn't have any display connectors on it, and doesn't have onboard graphics.
  17. When I press the power, everything turns on and stays on, but there is no display.
  18. My computer recently broke down, and I am in the process of troubleshooting because nothing displays on the monitor when I turn the pc on. Here's how it started. One day, I noticed that even though I had 16 gb of ram in my system, only 8 gb was showing up in the task manager, and it said that only 1 slot was working. So I restarted the computer and went to BIOS to see which ram stick was broken because my BIOS has the ability to show me which one is not working, so then I saved my BIOS settings, and held the power button to shut down the PC instead of letting it restart (I do not know if this is what caused the problem). Then, I reseated the ram sticks to see if that would fix the problem, but I don't remember if I completely turned everything off (like flicking the off switch on the PSU) on the PC (I do not know if this is what caused the problem). Right after this, I turned the computer on, and no screen display. Another possible thing that caused the problem was that when I reseated the ram, I had to take out my liquid cooler radiator in order to do so. I may have accidentally hit something with it, but I find that very unlikely. After doing some research, many people say that there are many possible causes to the problem, so I am stuck, and I have no clue why this is happening. Any suggestions and/or answers would be great! Thanks. Update: Also, there are no beep codes at all. I tried resetting the BIOS and CMOS and nothing changed, and I tried reseating and cleaning everything.
