  1. No I have a total of 3 drives. 1 950 Pro that I am using to boot from, and 2 850 Evo's that I am raiding together.
  2. yea it actually looks worse then it is because the GPU shroud is angular.
  3. Both, 950 Pro is my Boot Drive and 850's are my storage array
  4. Ok. so I have 2 1 Tb 850 Evo's I setup on a RAID 0. However when ever I enable Intel Rapid Storage and Rebuild the drive my m.2 Boot device locks up and I get "inaccessible_boot_device". I then am forced to flash BIOS in order to boot to windows. Can anyone tell me what is going on because I am completely lost.
  5. The 212 evo is meant to out perform stock coolers. It was designed for CPUs that ship with out a stock cooler. It is in no way meant to handle the extra burden overclocking has on the CPU. You will hit a point where your cpu is constantly near or just over max temps and it will kill your cpu's life span.
  6. I would strongly advise against overclocking your CPU with a Hyper 212
  7. unfortunately, they are not compatible with my current GPU :<
  8. I am looking for liquid cooling options for my Asus Strix 980 Ti as the fans on it, when playing under load, are so loud its obnoxious. They completely destroy immersion because it sounds like I am gaming on the wing of a 747. Don't get me wrong the fans can take the card from 80 degrees to 40 degrees in like 12 seconds at full speed. The problem is the card is barely under 70 the entire time I'm gaming and the fans are set to ramp up to max at 75 degrees (ai suite wont let me set the ramp to 100% speed at 78 degrees). I heard about the EKWB block but its like, what, 130 bucks I am not entirely sure what parts I would need to buy as well. Obviously, I'll need a pump, a radiator block, some tubing, some fittings and a drain system. But I have no clue what to buy. If I am going this route i might as well cool the CPU with it. So any and all advice is welcome. System specs below (just in case you need them) Case: Corsair 750D Air Flow Edition CPU: i7-6700k MOBO: Asus Maximus VIII Hero Ram: 2x8g 3200 Mhz G.Skill Series V GPU: Asus Strix 980 Ti Factory OC Currently, budget is around 2 grand but I do need to buy new monitors with that as well so I am trying to keep it within reason.
  9. I can do that. Though some of my issues started happening before I overclocked as well. The shutting down issue happened when I first booted up the system.
  10. The 980 ti was the last thing I attempted to over clock and no driver related issues really. I overclocked the cpu and ram on xmp profile. No driver issues that I have detected.
  11. i don't know how to read it even if it does TBH but I can take pictures of it for the experts.
  12. New build, made it about a week or so ago. If I did everything correctly you should see my system specs in the footer. I am running windows 10 64 as well.Ok, let me preface this by saying I think it's my PSU, which I ported over from my previous build to this current build. First weird thing that happened was issues with it powering down. I would hit shutdown my monitors would shut off but my case LEDs and Fans would run for as long as a half hour(longest I let it run before manually shutting it down) well that seems to have subsided. I haven't had a shut off issue in a couple days. Second weird issue, all my usb ports stopped functioning altogether. My RGB Mouse, my keyboard, my RGB game pad, the blue LED in my mic my camera wouldn't respond and my Hauppauge were all not functioning at all. I freaked out powered it off and on a few times and no go. I had to power it off turn it off and unplug the cable for about 10 mins then booted it back up with no issues. Next weird issue, can't overlock my 980 Ti, it's and asus strix and for all intents and purposes should be overclockable. There are dozens of overclocking videos on youtube. I know what you're thinking(assuming you made it this far) "But not all video cards can be overclocked" "You probably got a bad card" "Sorry about your luck" and yes all of these things could be true but I should be able to adjust the settings on the card until the graphics drivers crash. I can't hell I could set this thing to 5000 Mhz and it wouldn't do anything. And now the last weird thing(so far, fingers crossed) Monitors are starting to flicker. Must be a gpu thing because 2 of my monitors are 1080p at 60 hz and the others is a gaming beast the XB270HU. All 3 monitors are on different displays atm. I have seen the flickering on my middle and far left monitor(pc is on my right) which are the two displays and they're kind of stretched but not so tight it would make a guitar string jealous. So what do you think sound like PSU to you?
  13. So, here is what I found out. Some of the z170 boards support the above listed PCIe architecture. So the cpu supports 16x PCIe lanes but the Chipset supports 20x PCIe lanes 16 of which are used for like usb, LAN, and what not. The 3 PCIe 1x lanes are disable when a card is plugged into PCIe 16x lane connected through the chipset. That card is throttled to a 4x Slot which means I can run an 8x 8x 4x PCIe setup with out sacrificing bandwidth to my Graphics Cards! YAY VICTORY!
