  1. no idea on anything about vega until vega is actually released and tested by all the youtube benchmarkers
  2. 4770k is still a beast and will push them very good though, and if you're at 1440p or even 4k it pushes them great. if you got sli 1080ti's i doubt you're on 1080p anyways.
  3. 970, the 1060 3gb isnt even a true 1060 it has less shaders/cores whatever. its a dumbed down version if a real 1060.
  4. it would push them pretty good at 1080p and no problems at higher resolutions but honestly if you're gonna have $1500 worth of gpus you should get a newer i7 with much faster ram than ddr3 has.
  5. lol no it wont, a 2500k oc'd to 4.6ghz BARELY bottlenecked my 1070, it was 99-100% usage in almost everygame except gta v and bf1 in some instances.
  6. yes you can. all sandy and ivy bridge non k cpus can go +4 multiplier over the max turbo , then you can bump up pcie from 100-105 to get a little more. anyone with a z68-z77-p68 motherboard can get +400 mhz. so anyone can easily get 4.3 on 3770 and some of us can get 4.5 which is all my 3770k could get anyways.
  7. for me, it took 1.38-1.4v for me to be stable at 4.5ghz
  8. you should still be able to hit more than 4.2, it may take 1.35v - 1.4v to do it but you you should hit 4.5. . honestly 4.2 at 1.275 is pretty decent
  9. 3770k isnt a good clocker to be honest, the most i ever got out of mine was 4.5 ghz. however i had a 3770 non k that i upped the multiplier to 43 and instantly got 4.3 ghz then i bumped the pcie to like 102-105 to get about 4.5ghz. in other words my 3770 non k got the same OC as my 3770k. ivy bridge cpus are MUCH HOTTER than sandybridge was. delidding would help.
  10. last week evga had bstock 980ti VR gpus for 259.99 shipped, i paid 469 plus tax for a gaming x 1070 last year in june so this is seriously $200 cheaper. and come to find out the 980ti actually beats my 1070. at stock 980ti firestrike: 17000+ a stock 1070 firestrike: 19000+ OC 980 ti firestrike: 21,133 OC 1070 firestrike: 20,900 i could push them both a little further but this is close to thier max on air. the 980ti has more overhead room than the 1070. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/19690558
  11. i've been researching these alot, apparently if you have a motherboard that can have high bclk overclocking (180 and up) these 2.2 chips can reach 4.3ghz, in the test i seen one of these at 4 ghz matched a stocked 6700k in performance, which means they are exactly the same thing clock for clock. the awesome thing about these are they are $98 on alibaba. making it less that 1/3 of the price of the 6700k. im researching which motherboards are best for them and im buying one to play with. heres one at 3.8 ghz compared to stock 6700k
  12. the only time i seen a cpu lose speed under load is if was thermal throttling, but your temps seem fine. i honestly dont know but im sure its something silly. *****edited***** edited my post as you already did what i was saying lol
  13. thats your base clock , and dont put your bclk to 250,you could 105-110 max but theres no need to because you have a unlocked multiplier. messing with blck raises your ram speeds, hdds and sometimes your pcie and everything. can be very unstable and even damage your pc if you dont know what you're doing.. normally only people with locked cpus even mess with bclk
  14. not a big bottleneck at all, you can do a medium overclock on locked sandybridge/ivy bridge cpus.....just run your 2500 at +4 multiplier over turbo. in other words set your multiplier at 41 for 4.1ghz. you can even put it at 41 multiplier then bump up blclk a bit for 4.3 ghz depending on your board, but even at 4.1ghz that 2500 out performs a 4590. that 2500 can push that gpu in many games.
  15. i5's tend to have these dips in games like gtav and battlefield 1. the i7's although will have close to the same max fps as a i5 they always have much higher MINIMUM fps.
