  1. That's what I said, I've had this problem for around 6-8 months. Just today I decided to try w/o drivers and it worked. I don't think AMD will ever fix it. Oh well, thanks for the help. Not buying AMD products ever again.
  2. So I'm supposed to use really old drivers forever? Don't think AMD is ever gonna fix it, I don't find anyone else having this problem
  3. Which one though? And i don't know how to roll back drivers. As I said, no drivers at all don't crash my GPU. But the newest ones do.
  4. In any game (or program that runs MSAA), if I put 4x MSAA or higher it crashes my GPU. Any other method of AA works fine. I tried running the game w/o any drivers and the MSAA 8x worked fine. But as soon as I installed the latest ones and tried it again, I got artifact and my GPU crashed. Any suggestions? Rx480 I5-4690k 8gb DDR3 ram
  5. Alright, thanks. So you think buying a new mobo+cpu for DDR4 isn't worth it that much?
  6. So i have 8gb of ddr3 ram that's around 8 years old (4x2gb) and I was thinking if I should upgrade to 16gb for gaming. Should I save up and wait to get a DDR4 mobo + new cpu? Is 16gb of DDR3 memory worth it? Will I see a difference in open world games (those are the ones that I get some stuttering from time to time) like Playerunkown's battlegrounds or GTA5? Specs: i5-4690k rx480 4gb 8gb ram 500w evga bronze psu Thanks
  7. Can't beat the crap out if I cant set my AA above 2x in any game. The black screens are also annoying.
  8. Damn it. It's so weird that this only happens with AA only too. Disappointed with AMD, shoulda just gotten a 1060. Edit: can't replace it, it's been more than 30 days since Ive got it. Never buying amd cards again. On top of that relive lags my game, something shadow play didn't do on my 950.
  9. Tried the VGA to VGA, same result. Even updated to 17.1.1, the new drivers.
  10. Yea I am, Its VGA to HDMI, ill check to see if i got an vga to vga cable still lying around, and test to see if anything goes better with it.
  11. Ever since i got my brand new rx480 wierd things have been happening. I tried re-installing the drivers but those keep occurring: When i turn up the AA in a game, i get weird artifacting which crashes the game. Also, every hour or so i get a black screen for like 1-2 seconds, this also happens when im not in game but more rarely. For example, skyrim runs fine with 8 samples of AA. But when i turn on FXAA, game starts artifacting and it crashes. For CSGO, it works fine with 2x MSAA, turn it up to 4x or more, and it does the same thing. Hell, even the radeon settings is artifacting sometimes, which is super wired. Help is appreciated! Below is the artifacting, its the same in all the games.
  12. Used that program to uninstall old nvidia drivers as well as the amd ones, and its been 30 minutes and no black screen, thanks for that program!
  13. So I just got my brand new msi rx 480 today, replacing my gtx 950. However, every 10-15 mins i get a black screen while playing the witcher 3. it can be easily solved by alt tabbing, but its getting really annoying, and i cannot find out why it would be doing such a thing. i have the card set on "gaming" mode, and it isn't overheating, running at around 70c. my specs: rx480 i5-4690k evga 500w psu 8 gb ram any help is appreciated
