  1. As I've mentioned, I'll be moving into another office space sometime this year and I've setup my network to be plug and play
  2. It is! But this is only temporary. We'll be moving out mid year (hopefully) and I don't want to go to the trouble of reconfiguring my private network when we do. Plugin new ISP modem, and done! Sounds so much work for 2-3months' hassle. Not to mention that I might break the cafe's WiFi. Thanks for the insight though! I do have a static IP. Will try putting my server into the DMZ. Thanks!
  3. I see. Well, this is the closest thing I could find that could accomplish that. Is this it?
  4. I haven't checked the CCTV camera's yet. Didn't think of doing so ? I think the Ubi Edge Router can handle multiple LAN. Dual NAT pertaining to the ISP modem's NAT and my private network's, or Ubi's and my network's?
  5. Hi Guys, I just moved into my new office (yey!) last month and set-up up a private network. Odd thing is, may connection is intermittent. Not only mine, but the network of the whole place. Back story: I setup my friend's network for his cafe with a Ubiquity Edge Router X and an Ubiquity AC Access Point which is connected to the ISP Modem. A CCTV box is connected directly to the ISP's Modem. The ISP modem's IP range is 192.168.255.50 - 192.168.255.100 (hard locked), while the Ubiquity Router's is 192.168.2.10-192.168.2.255. I haven'y heard any problems from the customers since day one. (maybe because they're not using any connection sensitive programs. The Move: I moved in last January and setup a domain network with Win Server. DC DHCP and DNS are all in 1 VM, and is connected to the ISP's modem with a a static IP of 192.168.255.52, and to a Gigabit router for my private network. (A slave instance is not yet needed since we have less than 10 people and w primary need the DC for the applications we develop,) The Problems: 1. We do a lot of video calls with our clients, and the occasional LoL and Destiny 2, and experience regular disconnections. Thinking it might be because of our private network, we tried connecting to the cafe's network. Same thing. 2. Disconnections still happen even while RDP-ing into the servers in my private network. EVERYTHING in the chain goes down. I want to avoid modifying the configurations of the ISP's modem and the Ubiquity router until I'm sure they're the culprit. I already tried to turn everything on and off. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Below is a diagram of the network
  6. I see. I thought that there's a way to route *.dev.mydomain.com to 10.1.1.1 and *.test.mydomain.com to 10.1.1.2. So I have to look into setting up a router instead. Correct?
  7. That's #1 " Port forwarding isn't an option because we will be adding several web servers soon." Thanks though
  8. Hi all, Just setup the Windows Server DNS server for the office, and am trying to access the web server in the network from the internet, but I can't get the DNS to route the traffic to the correct server. Instead, the DNS's IIS is responding to all requests. Works fine from inside the network though. Port forwarding isn't an option because we will be adding several web servers soon. Things I've done: 1. Directed dev.mydomain.com and *.dev.mydomain.com to my public static IP. 2. Moved my DNS into and out of the DMZ (both didn't work) 3. Port forwarded 80 to the DNS 4. Directed dev.mydomain.com to the VM via Windows Server DNS I have NAT and Routing features installed. I'm guessing there's a mis-configuration in the DNS or missing server role.
  9. Thanks for the feedback DevBlox! Watching the vid now.
  10. Good point. I've revised the diagram. Since Procurement contains Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order, will each require it's own logging and consumer/producer services?
  11. I'm guessing you're pertaining to Procurement Workflow, Inventory Manager, and Stock Transfer Manager. Using Stock Transfer Manager as an example. If I understand correctly, it should be broken out into smaller components - Manager [Logic] (no db), Inventory Transaction Log (db), and Inventory Monitor. Is this correct? what do you mean by "flat layout"? Thanks for helping me out!
  12. Hi friends, This is my first attempt in designing a microservices architecture. Please be kind ? Scenario: 1. The client would want a system to monitor the inventory and give alerts when stock levels reach a certain level. 2. The company has multiple warehouses/branches. Stocks will be transferred between them. 3. Handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and the routing of each. Hoping for your feedback from you awesome peeps!
  13. Load is bust-y. 2700 is lots for my current needs tbh. just found a retailer selling it for only 175$..
