I don't even want to discuss what was wrong... it was a simple fix and I was struggling so much. The software that came with the GPU is supposed to download the most recent driver and it didn't even know that was a new one, but on the AMD website, they had a hotfix for the recent driver and it cleared my problem right up. I feel pretty damn stupid, but at least I found the solution. Thank you everyone who tried their best to help me. Sometimes you can't fix ignorance. Oh well. At least I have figured the problem out. By the way, in case you were still curious Burger, Core Clock is at 1040 MHz Memory Clock is at 1500 MHz

Ok, so my gpu goes to full load whenever I play ANY game, it doesn't matter what. It didn't even get to 30 percent when I played Rocket League and now it stays at a constant 100. I really don't know what to do...
-
Alright, so at idle my cpu runs at an average of 24 Degrees C, and gpu is around 33. My Gpu usage, I found, only goes up significantly when I open something simple, like chrome. Booting up chrome alone takes 50% of my gpu's resources and it averages out around 40% as it stays open.

It's not stupid, but I have checked to make sure because that was my first thought was.

I use almost all of them. But I have had those on since I have had the pc and I have not had trouble until recently.

I7-4790k, Temps are normal, from what I remember, I am away from my main pc at the moment, but I will post the temps when I get back to my pc. Main Programs I use and have in the background: Steam, Msi Afterburner, Malwarebytes, AMD Radeon settings hub, Discord, and The gaming evolved app. That doesn't include things I will use like chrome, etc.

Hi everyone, I had built my gaming pc about a month and a half ago and everything has been going fine. Except recently, my R9 390 is suddenly not performing as it was before. Even rocket league, a not so demanding game, can't hold it's framerate. It used to easily maintain itself at 60FPS but now It stutters and struggles with the graphics. I can't understand what the problem is. All I know is, when I use MSI's afterburner to view my GPU usage, I'm spiking randomly at 100%, and that is at idle. And I am at a constant 100% when playing ANYTHING. I already checked with Malwarebytes to make sure it isn't a Mining virus, and it didn't detect anything... that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't one though. Does anyone understand what this problem is or why this is happening? I really need a solution as I am not excited about my GPU being messed up. Thank you in advanced.

About just under a Month ago I posted about a PC I was going to build, then money was no longer an option and it was a no show. A month later, I am back to where I was financially and I am ready to build me a strong PC. I am trying to make this PC as strong and reliable as I can within a $1500 limit. This includes the peripherals. I am going to be using this PC for very heavy gaming and video editing, and a little bit of audio production. I would like to keep the color scheme I have for it, which is White/Blue. Here is what I have, but if you have any suggestions, or even a completely different build, please help me out any way you can: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bd6Wxr Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Bd6Wxr/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($257.98 @ Newegg) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($104.99 @ Best Buy) Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($97.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($68.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($69.69 @ NCIX US) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($51.99 @ NCIX US) Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 390X 8GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($379.99 @ Newegg) Case: Thermaltake Chaser A31 Snow White ATX Mid Tower Case ($82.25 @ Amazon) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($80.10 @ Amazon) Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($36.10 @ Amazon) Fan Controller: NZXT SENTRY 3 Fan Controller ($34.99 @ Best Buy) Monitor: Acer G257HU smidpx 60Hz 25.0" Monitor ($267.58 @ Newegg) Keyboard: Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle Wired Gaming Keyboard w/Optical Mouse ($29.99 @ Newegg) Total: $1562.62 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-02-05 00:25 EST-0500

$1500 to $1650 "Jack-of-all-trades" PC
Plankydude replied to Plankydude's topic in New Builds and Planning
I had decided to switch out the Monitor for a Acer G257HU and switched the headphones for the M30x. I don't know why, but I didn't even consider regular headphones. Thanks for the suggestion KemoKa. What kind of PSU would you recommend Starelementpoke? -
Hey there guys. I have been debating constantly on the parts I need for the PC I am going to build. This PC is going to be used heavily everyday and used for almost everything including, but not limited to, Gaming, Video and Audio Production/Editing, 3D design. The parts I chose were in hopes of making both a powerful and beautiful computer. I have set my budget at about $1500 to $1650. These are the parts I chose: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jcdFzy Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jcdFzy/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($334.99 @ NCIX US) CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i GT 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($77.99 @ Newegg) Thermal Compound: Thermaltake CL-O001-GROSGM-A 1.5g Thermal Paste ($8.79 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($92.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($69.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($67.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.99 @ NCIX US) Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 390X 8GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($388.98 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($119.99 @ NZXT) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($64.99 @ NCIX US) Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($36.10 @ Amazon) Case Fan: Corsair SP120 57.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($14.10 @ Amazon) Case Fan: Corsair SP120 57.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($14.10 @ Amazon) Monitor: Asus MG279Q 144Hz 27.0" Monitor ($579.99 @ Newegg) Keyboard: Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle Wired Gaming Keyboard w/Optical Mouse ($26.98 @ Newegg) Headphones: Logitech G930 7.1 Channel Headset ($69.99 @ Newegg) Total: $2020.94 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-01-29 09:01 EST-0500 I would like to be able to keep a 1440p resolution and play games at ultra settings. R9 390x VS GeForce GTX 980 Ti: Is the upgrade really worth $300?
Plankydude replied to Plankydude's topic in Graphics Cards
Yeah, like I said, I didn't think that was too much of a reliable source. Any suggestions on who is more trustworthy and accurate with their data? -
Is the GeForce GTX 980 Ti really worth the additional $200+? http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-390X-vs-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti I hope this is a trustworthy and accurate resource, but as I observe the 2 GPUs I noticed that the 390x is just a slight bit lower in Pixel Rate and in Render Output Processors and also in Effective Memory Clock Speed. Can anyone explain if this is a very noticeable change in power and if it really is worth the additional $200+?
-
@Xenift Would Liquid Cooling really be necessary for any of these cpus? From what I heard Liquid Cooling is pretty much useless because air cooling has gotten better. Also, are there any specific fans or cpu coolers I should get vs using included fans and heatsinks?
-
Oh yeah, sorry about that, I just used the link I was provided to make the list. I am in the US. I guess I am making this harder than is necessary haha,

Alright. Sorry for the ignorance, like I said I am new to building PC's and hopefully I can learn enough about the hardware and get into this as a career.
