  1. @johnny668687 People have told you multiple times what you can do to decrease your ping, but so far you have not done the steps necessary to lower your ping. I'm starting to think you might be a troll.
  2. Actually, this will suprise you, It does have 2x6gb, and I pulled it from a pre-built. It does have quad channel. Many people think it disappeared, but there are still systems sold with these odd 6gb modules. This is not ideal, but I don't feel like spending a ton of money on the system. I think it will work out. Even on single-threaded performance, I think it still got enough power for this to work.
  3. 1700 is a bit rough? I kind of laughed at this. It's an 8 core, 16 thread CPU with a turbo clock of 3.6ghz, it will handle a small Minecraft server. I remember running it on an AMD A10 APU and that was fairly decent. Also, RAM is not that slow, I've seen Half-Life 2 servers run on worse with upwards of 30 people in them. EDIT* What is a bit rough is the fact that this RAM is not dual channel, but quad channel with 2x6gb and 2x8gb for 28gb. I'm literally running the unoptimal set up of RAM, but I used it for two years. Hasn't failed me, and I'm ok not spending the extra money on a new config.
  4. Ok, I thought so since Minecraft has always been so CPU reliant, but I thought I'd just ask. Also, I think the 1700 would handle it well. I've seen servers with worse CPUs handle that. I've tested the system, the RAM amount is weird, but it's not as slow as I've seen in other servers as such (I'm talking about as low as 1200mhz).
  5. So, the title is fairly self-explanatory. I'm going to be running a server on these specs: Ryzen 7 1700 1tb Toshiba mq01abd100 5400RPM HDD 28gb 2100mhz RAM 1gb VRAM from a RADEON HD XTX 6950 Do you think that this is still enough VRAM for an MC server? My personal opinion is that it would be for about 45 players with a 57.6mb/s upload speed. Also, is the upload speed cap an issue? I don't think so, but I'd like to hear a second opinion. Thanks! Also, another question, is sodium available for Minecraft servers?

  7. Ask for the Dimensions of the product you want to fit in and then get the measuring tape/ruler and that should give you a rough estimate about what space you need or have enough of Dimensions are here for the GPU: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Graphics-Cards/Dual/DUAL-RX6600XT-O8G/techspec/ Dimensions: 243 x 134 x 49 mm < European units 9.6 x 5.3 x 1.9 inch <Freedom units Dimensions of the case: https://cougargaming.com/products/cases/mg120-g/ Get them here because I'm too lazy to copy them. Hope this helps.
  8. Hello, just a quick question. I have an intel core 2 quad q6600. Would it be compatible with a motherboard that has an lg1150 socket. Thank-you.
  9. yes, i have update in everyway possible(including terminal), no this does not happen in windows, just linux
  10. My motherboard is a GIGABYTE B85M-DS3H-A FYI
  11. Installing this SD card reader to my custom computer I found from an HP Compaq computer, I hope there is a port on the motherboard that works with this. What kind of port would this connect too?
  12. Good afternoon, heres the scoop. My internet is staying connected to my router at all times, but once I browse through 3 or 4 pages, I can't connect to the internet no longer, yet I remain connected to my router "BELL125." I am totally using Ubuntu 16.04LTS and it is a dualboot system with windows 10. The laptop I am using is an ASUS X555QA. If anyone can help out it's much appreciated, have a nice Thanksgiving if your a furry northern beaver like me. Cheers.
  13. That's true, but I'm going to be using grub bootloader.
  14. It's an engineering miracle how the keyboard is so slim, but at what expense of comfort. The whole keyboard+mousepad thing is just plane trash.
  15. Hey guys. I want to install Ubuntu 16.10 on my new motherboard. - Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A I'm installing it alongside Win10 and I'm going to be using grub-bootloader. I just want to know if there are any technical issues I should lookout for before I start the process.
