  1. Hey guys, I am pleased to report that recently I built a sweet all white gaming pc. I love everything about it, but I have small speed bump I keep running into. I the ASUS Z390 Prime. I love it, but when I turn my computer on it doesn't boot windows right away. I have to press F1>F8>Click my 970EVO M.2 SSD (my boot drive). In those 3 easy steps my computer loads windows in less than two seconds. I love the sick speed on this thing. But I cannot figure out where in my bios settings I can opt to make my computer boot automatically to Windows instead. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it? Any help appreciated, Mike
  2. Hello Forum, So I'm getting ready to start up a server for my church. Here's what I plan to do with it: Store files and media for the church, and the Kids Church team Store and back up click track, music and video files for production and worship team And run our kids check in system from it (once the server is set up my the company that manages my check in software will install check in host on it so long as its Windows) I've googled the various versions of Windows server OS, but I'm not sure what's best for me and I don't wanna overspend on something I might not need.
  3. Hey guys, I'm in need of help upgrading the ram on my computer. I have a Dell OptiPlex, the big tower; and I bought RAM to upgrade my work PC from 4GB to 8GB and eventually upgrade it to 16GB. The ram was 2 sticks of DDR3, the recommended type. Each stick 4GB totaling eight. But when I installed the 8GB the computer rejected it and I was forced to go back to the 4 lousy gigs. I'm thinking I either bought a non-compatible version of the DDR3, or it was defective. Links in below of my computer and the RAM I bought. Oh! I should also mention that I troubleshoot the issue before giving up and going back to the original RAM. Please help me get my PC's RAM upgraded. 4. Hello, I've been following linustechtips for a while and this is my first forum post. I decided that this year I was gonna build my first PC and I was super excited. I've enjoyed researching learning so many new things, but I wanna make sure that I'm on the right track. Like so many, I want my PC to be gaming capable for high graphics performance. I watched a really great Intel Core i7-4930K Processor. Can someone tell me whether or not I'll be able to play games with that much ram and this processor together? Or am I going to need a mother board with little bit more ram capacity? Also I'll be starting off with the MSI R9 390X GAMING 8G Graphics Card for now and I'll be upgrading to what Linus used later. For budget reasons of course. Best Regards, Mike Super Excited To Build!
