  1. Tried reseating the 24 pin with no avail. I also removed the GPU now to see if it would boot without that, however, the first time i press the power button one of the lights on my mobo flashes, the light for the CPU, you can see my board and the light im talking about on page 21 here, so is this an indicator that my CPU is dead? It would seem according to the manual that it is? However Im not sure.
  2. Hey there, this evening my PC just shut off, lights are still on on the RAM, mobo and case, but fans are stopped and there is no video output. I want to say its either a mobo or PSU issue, and of course I dont have gear with me atm to test those theories, but is there anything specific I can do with what I have now to narrow it down? Thanks!
  3. If this is the case, what should I do? Its plugged into a surge protector which is then of course plugged into the wall.
  4. Hey there, I recently moved to Colorado for school and brought my desktop with me. Because of the dry and cold weather, static electricity is far more common here than from where im from, and im getting really tired of my Headphones(Corsair H60 Haptics) shorting out when i stand up for a moment and do something before sitting back down and putting them on, I have to typically reach down and unplug them from the PC and plug them back in to "reset" them. Also on a few occasions the static buildup has made my PC just shut off altogether and given me a few scares with it repairing itself on bootup... Any tips on how to fix this?
  5. Hi all, ive been recently running into a lot of hardware errors on my PC and am trying to figure out what is causing the issue. Ive updated Windows and my GPU drivers quite often to see if somehow that would fix it, but im rather worried that perhaps my GPU or PSU is dying. Is there any way to figure out specifically what is causing these errors? Microsofts tools really arent helping me out here. I also have issues with my screen flickering off then back on and in some cases just crashing the system entirely and causing it to restart. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks~
  6. Hey all, im headed off to college fairly soon, and im wanting to take my Desktop out with me, but the current one isnt really fit to travel, at least I think. Its in an NZXT H500, im wanting a case that is more resilient to travel in a pelican case perhaps? Any recommendations are welcome! Looking for a mid tower btw, specs are an Aorus B450 Pro Wifi, RX5700, H100 AIO from Corsair, so you get the gist of the size i need.
  7. Hi all, I have a friend who is having issues with their hard drive. They cannot access it despite it showing up in disk manager, it just says "missing" on it, any help would be appreciated.
  8. Gotcha, the maximum it reached during those stress tests was 63 C btw, if memory serves it should reach 80 C or so before throttling right? I have an H100i V2
  9. Another strange thing is that Cinebench is using it at 4.26 but when i ran a stress test on CPUID it pushed it to 4.4?
  10. Either way, it isnt showing that section, although i can see it is not boosting fully to 4.6 GHz, only 4.26. And it is definitely not thermal throttling, so im going to assume its not getting enough voltage?
  11. Only question is where do i find or enable the CPU X thing? I looked and it isnt in teh list of things that are currently enabled
  12. Hey, just managed to get my Ryzen 5600X today from amazon, and benchmarks are showing it perform well below where it should be performing. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/38366303 and I was getting about 9600 points in Cinebench R23 where i should be getting 11500 or so points. I was told that perhaps my older B450 chipset could be to blame, but i didnt think it would tank my performance this much. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  13. Force restart, and i would say at random points yes.
  14. Disabled hardware advancing via discord and wiped and reinstalled the drivers, the issue still persists, although the VRAM is no longer hitting the roof
  15. When you have an APU in the system, it would be able to be used. You dont have an APU in there, so it cannot be used.
  16. I only did the stock automatic overclocking that AMDs new 2020 software does, its not enabled atm. I will go ahead and try the drivers. When I first got this card, i had to roll back to the driver set right before the new 2020 software release, and since then there has been 2 releases, both of which still have issues.
  17. If I am reading the spec page correctly on that Motherboard. It doesnt have an internal GPU. It supports AMD APUs, but doesnt have internal graphics, you need a graphics card or an APU.
  18. Okay, so I got this Gigabyte RX 5700 for christmas as an upgrade over my RX 580. And so far it has been real hit or miss, some games black screen, others have issues with GUIs and other graphical issues, and to top all that off a game just sitting in a menu uses the full 8 GB of VRAM the card has to offer. I know that there are still some driver issues with the card, but I honestly didnt think they would be this bad. Do you all think this is just a driver issue? Or is it hardware based? Potentially a defective card? System build is as follows: CPU: R5 3600 GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700 OC Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro WIFI PSU: Corsair CXM 650 Storage: 250 gb Samsung 860 EVO with a 1 TB Seagate Firecuda 2 monitors, 1 is a 1080p generic, the other is an AOC CQ27G1 Thanks in advance~
  19. Yup, i only plan to have maybe half a dozen people have access
  20. Hello all, so I am trying to start up a Minecraft server (go ahead and cringe now) and I am trying to go through with port forwarding. My network modem is a Motorola MB7420. When I log in to the modems page through my browser instead of getting many of the advanced options, I just get status through the advanced tab. So is there something I am doing wrong? Or is my modem just bugged or something?
  21. Be warned, the B450 chipset doesn't allow a lot of OCing. If you have the money I would go with the X470 or X390 chipset.
  22. Get a ryzen, cheap and plenty of power. Might want to wait till ryzen 3000 comes out in a few months though.
  23. I just knew that there was a limit on the bios for OCing, and the VRMs seem to be decent quality. So I wouldn't count them as being limited to a certain voltage. They look to be the same VRMs as on other chipsets like X470 and X390
