ur putting my mind to a lot of rest bro lol, im gonna test with lower voltages soon and hope i can get it below that 1.3 stable. Surely if it survives 30-45 mins on an aida64 stress then its gonna survive anything a game throws at it

nothing is ever simple with me hahahaa

I understand that mate, I had a 4790k that ran close to these temps before aswell butim not sure what to expect temps wise as this is a completely new system

https://gyazo.com/6c30f1c7030b3872cccadc169ee969e8 Hi guys, Running a H115i Elite Cappelix with a Corsaid 280x case and an MSI Gaming edge wifi m-atx. Im being told on another forum that my temps are very wide spread on the cores and as a result I should be very worried because theres a big 20 celcius gap. Should I actually be worried? Plus I think for a half hour AIDA test my temps seem very high? The CPU is at 5.2GHz at 1.3v

I want to overhaul my set-up and since chrsitmas is coming up theres no betteer time to do so. Ive been looking around and a lot of people use the phillips hue lightstrips but they seem expensive and overkill for what I actually need, but if there isnt any other option I will go with it:D Also, cable management with me is a big issue so can someone help me with linking a cable management tray like a lot of people use (I heard they are from ikea?) and just any tips on how to manage my cables better (Things to use like tape etc). Thanks:D

Okay lads in that time of the year again, christmas. I'm having a bit of a dilemma, what upgrade to my setup do I make? Im currently using 2 x Viewsonic 24" 1ms 144hz and I have a Zotac GTX 970 AMP Omega edition w/ a i7-4790k. I want to upgrade to the new Pascal cards, but I feel as if i've left it too late to upgrade now as they will have been out near 6 months by the time I will have upgraded. At the same time, I want to upgrade one of my main panels to a 21:9 ultrawide (I'd have to go for one of the ones with 1440p/4k res to make sense. Now as I cant find a true 4k 21:9 monitor that has a decent response time on it, I feel as if the Acer Predator x34 would make the most sense as its a 1440p panel with a 4ms response time and it looks beautiful I could also have the chance to get the GTX 1080, but six months into the life span I feel like there will be another huge performance leap like there was this time around. Plus it doesnt make proper sense because I have 1080p panels (Unless I super sample) My problem is too what if there was to be 4k 21:9 panels eventually? I'm just finding the choice difficult (I know this thread is first world problems in a nutshell, but wanted other opinions)

Thanks for all of your help man!! Only just got home so im gonna try it a bit later on
-
Just before I go, is it worth giving the memory a bit of a bump too?
-
So ideally I bump the voltage up and take a 200-300Mhz OC, tone down the voltage until its stable and really call it a day? Not trying to kill my GPU, was just gonna get a 1080 but I only have a 1080p monitor lmao

-
I was thinking about that actually reading on some forums, I watched a video and he said do it in small increments but what is classed as 'small'? 1mv or?
-
Ive seen it hit the 80's because im cooling on air, so im thinking I should just all together lower the underclock. This is all very complicated lmao

Is that a sign in instability of the overclock? Because it goes back up straight after and will do it again, but I dont know if 200MHz is even a lot for an overclock, im really new to this if you couldnt tell lmao
