I've been running into an issue where my mouse randomly freezes on the screen, it's completely infrequent and will happen sometimes when I play games and sometimes when I'm just scrolling online.
The only way I can move my mouse on the screen again is if I disconnect and reconnect it from the USB port, I've tested two different wired mice and the issue persists. When the mouse freezes there is no windows disconnect sound either.
So far I have tried the following:
1. editing my power plan options to high-performance
2. trying every USB port on my motherboard
3. disabling the USB selective suspend setting
4. Unticking all USB root hub power management settings to turn off the device to save power
5. trying another wired mouse
I'm out of ideas besides purchasing another motherboard, but I'd like to exhaust every option before I do this. Any ideas for a fix?
Edit: 6. I have also tried to wipe and reinstall the drivers from the mouse multiple times.
