Can i use the new cooler that comes with the new cpu

I'm upgrading from a pentium g3220 to a core i5 4460 and I was wondering what do I have to do to upgrade it, is it as easy as taking the old one out and putting the new one in or do I need to do anything else. Thanks

I was thinking about building a case and was just wondering about some aspects about it such as how would I get it to power on (power buttons) how would I mount fans and how would I mount my mobo (would I be able to use standoffs from my existing case) It will be the first case I will ever build Thanks
