  1. This is my summary of the series so far. I use Mint in my Laptop, Ubuntu in my Deep Learning machine and Windows 10 in my Home Gaming Machine. I probably use the Windows 10 machine the least, once a week may be. Edit: Just saw Luke and Linus getting some unnecessary hate. That's unwarranted. All of the stuff they faced and did are normal. Even in windows people use vastly different softwares to do the same stuff. Linus few months ago covered a story about how a snipping tool that uplaoded pictures in some website is a security risk. It wouldn't happen if people used default tools available in windows. Edit2: Just FYI, unless you are using sftp protocol to browse server filesystem, linux is auto refresh. For sftp protocols you get a reload button in the explorer (gui) which works as refresh button.
  2. I'm looking for a tool/software that will monitor CPU temperature and show a graph over time for me. I'm currently using MSI center and Ryzen Master to monitor it, but it doesn't seem to show graph.
  3. Thanks. How reliable is Lian-li for 24x7 running? Is there any study for such conditions?
  4. Thanks everyone. Does Arctic Freezer II comes in White color? I couldn't find one.
  5. Budget (including currency): $ - Open to all kind of suggestions. More interested about reliability Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 24x7 running, gaming occasionally. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 5800X CPU, MSI B550 MOBO, Crucial 3600 16x2 RAM, 1440p, 144Hz Monitor, GTX 960 (:P. Had plans to update to 3000 series, but you know.. probably 4000 series then.) So, I'm looking for AIO suggestions. My case is Phanteks P500A. So, I think I can fit any AIO in it. The most crucial question I'm interested is whether it is good for a PC that might run 24x7, it'll mostly be idle, aside from being connected to a remote server and posting I/O content from that server. And I'll game occasionally. Any help is appreciated! Cheers.
  6. I'm using an ACER monitor (link: https://www.newegg.com/black-acer-nitro-gaming-series-vg270u-pbmiipx-27/p/N82E16824011243?Item=N82E16824011243 ) which is plugged into my laptop. In latop I'm using Linux Mint and HDMI. The brightness controller of laptop only controls the brightness of the laptop screen. Whereas, the brightness control in the monitor cannot be as dim as the laptop. I personally prefer dimmer brightness, but the Acer monitor is too bright for my preference. Is there any way I can make the Acer monitor be even less bright. I do think it should've been possible by lowering the voltage of the LED/LCD inside the monitor, but not sure if there is any software controller for this. Let me know, if there is any solution. Thanks in advance.
  7. Haha sorry. My first build with i7-920 and a GTX 260 died because of thermals. After that, I have always got big cases! But NZXT H1 looks too handy for my current situation, also the fact that most things comes out pre routed! Thanks a lot for the Hardware Canucks' video!
  8. I'm also kind of worried about thermals. Is this small form factor good enough for dissipating heat?
  9. I'm thinking of buying NZXT H1 with mini-ITX mobo and Possibly Ryzen 3700x or 3950x with 32GB Ram. The GPU that'll go with it is GTX 960, but I plan to upgrade to 3060/3070 when it releases. Is the 650W power supply enough for it? I do have 3three hard drives for which I don't see a place in this build. Am I right? Any solution to this? Thanks in advance.
  10. If that is the only reason than Its fine. I was comparing it to other G Skill Trident Z memory modules which averages around 200$ and sniper modules seem like an outlier. Thanks for the ripjaws link. However, they look bulky compared to trident z or sniper modules. But it seems they are best bang of the buck.
  11. The title actually tells it all. Is seems a reasonably cheap DDR4 3600 memory module: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232741 I'm trying to build a Ryzen 3000 based PC and looking for compatible memory modules. Is it good enough?
