  1. T This is what I call barely fit, it somewhat pushes the hardrive cage back a little bit, I cannot recommand this.
  2. Using i7-3770k limit yourself with 4 dimms slots, which is a maximum ram capacity of 32gb. The Asus rampage series is only for x79, x58 chipsets, which is not the same socket for i7-3770k. The gigabyte G1 is also not for i7 3770k. You will need a z77 motherboard, according to your extremely huge amount of budget for a motherboard, you seem to want the best of the best, and you also want your 7970 to run at full pci 3.0 16x speed ( which is not important to the performance ), the Maximus extreme 5, p8z77-premium, gigabyte up7 or the asrock extreme 11 will all allow your 2 7970 to run at full speed. They are extremely prestigious motherboards the cream of all z77 motherboard. All are well built and provide great overclock plenty of features.

  4. Hurray !!! http://www.corsair.com/us/pc-cases/obsidian-series-pc-case/obsidian-series-900d-full-tower-case.html IT COST $0.00 . Maybe I will get 1..... or 100.
  5. 1:10 LOL That lock is gonna be fixed.
  6. Guys, this case will be out on the shelves in late January. Here is the latest overview on the 900d, however in swedish.
  7. it is confirmed that it will cost less than $400
  8. Msi lightning 7970, just for the reason there is a specific custom ek full cover water block for it. Great overclock, quality component and 2 slots thick only.
  9. Probably Gigabyte z77x-d3h, Msi Gd 65, asrock extreme 6, which are more or less in the same price range. If you want some premium, I think you should not stop until the tier with lik Asus z77 sabertooth, Gigabyte up5.
  10. For aluminium chassis, lian li and silverstone stands out. However, it is found that v750, v700 or v650 all cannot be mounted with 100i. The few option for lian li are all huge towers, such as pc-a71f and x2000 series chassis. Silverstone produces great aluminium case such as the tj07, ft02. Ft02 is surely the best aluminium made air cooled chassis out there, and maybe you can get a more quiet pc with a NH-D14 or a silverarrow there than a 100i, as they can be assisted by the bottom 180mm fans. Corsair 650d is also a great choice, but the overall airflow would be worse than FT02, even with front 200mm replacement. The Fractal design Define XL R2 would be somewhat the best choice for your 240mm rad, and the overall looks.
  11. just as philpc mentioned, there is enough clearance for the cooler. Airflow is not determined by the size of the case, in fact directed airflow effectively from fans is far more important. Both the Ft02 and 600T are great air cooling case. FT02 has 3 180mm ap181 fans which will assist directly to the vertical postion of the NH-D14 and blown right out of the case by the the top 120mm fan. The 600t would also be available to mount side fans, not to mention the air flow (front 200mm+top 200mm) is already great out of the box.
  12. It were a gift from his wife, maybe that means a lot to him XD
  13. The Coolermaster megaflow (30mm thick) CANNOT fit in the front of 650d unless you remove the two hardrive cages. The bitfenix spectre PRO (25mm thick) can BARELY fit into the front without removing the cages. The bitfenix spectre non-pro (20mm thick) is probably the best choice, just use a 7v adaptor described by linus and it will be breezy and silent.
  14. Another pic from Corsair george in overclock.net. He said the hardrive cages are totally modular and can fit in 5 spots, what a cool feature. All intakes will be dust filtered, including the bottom and the front, so no worry for dusts :D However the top 5.25 bay will be consumed if a full size radiator push-pull is installed on the top of the case. Such an eye candy for us geeks XD
  15. From your hardware choices, you seem to need plentiful of airflow to allow your dual 680 to breath, not to menton the enormous noctua NH-D14. In fact the best air-cooling case out there is probably the fortress FT02 ($250) but it cost far over $150, nevertheless, it has supreme build quality and the 90 degrees rotated motherboard tray which will benefit to both your NH-D14 and the two blower type FTW680+ graphic cards, you will get great temps with this. If you want to strictly follow the budget, you would consider the 600T with mesh side panel that can be mounted with fans to cool your $1000 total worth of awesomeness.
