  1. Does anyone have an idea? I don't know what to do.
  2. With aida64 stressing only the gpu, temps are around 73-74c max. I am clueless. I have also noticed the power is at 90W for 5 sec and then goes slowly to 65w. Maybe the vrms are overhearing?
  3. I have a laptop with a rtx 2070 max q. I have changed the thermal paste to thermal grizzly carbonaut so I won't have to change the paste everytime I open the laptop, So i have used kapton tape to isolate the pins located on the die to prevent shorting out the gpu. The laptop turns on, everything works, no artifacts, no bsod but I have noticed that my gpu power package went from 90W to 65W in performance mode and it stays there. So I am trying to understand what went wrong, any help will be appreciated. P.S. should I change it back to a normal paste?
  4. I have just repasted again and changed the thermal pad thickness for the PCH from 0.5mm to 2mm , and the temperatures now are around 76-78c under load.
  5. I have a Lenovo Y740 laptop, repasted it a few hours ago getting excellent temperatures on the gpu and cpu while gaming(71, 76-80 receptively ) but then i have noticed that my PCH temperature goes up to 82-86c while gaming, idle temperature are around 46-48c, I was wondering if the temperature of the PCH is too high?
  6. I was wondering on how to apply a new thermal pads on a laptop, do i need to place them directly on the heatsink or the motherboard? Because the last time i took the heatsink off i have seen some of the thermal pad was left on the motherboard and some on the heatsink.
  7. Thank you for the feedback, I was thinking about gelid gc extreme, what do you say? as it has viscosity of grade 6.
  8. No warranty unfortunately, but I wouldn't say the gap is too big, its just the mx4 isn't thick enough as i seen some people with same laptop as me confirms this.
  9. What thermal paste is recommend for the Lenovo Legion y740? As the mx4 lasted me for about 2 weeks and now i am sitting at over 90c at 3.4ghz with an undervolt. I was thinking on trying phobya nanogrease extreme but can't seem to find it anywhere, I have also heard good things about gelid gc extreme, so what thermal paste will be the best for an uneven heatsink?
  10. The problem still remains after flashing the keyboard firmware, any idea?
  11. I have noticed a few days ago that my keyboard's rgb doesn't turn off completely as shown in the image. So I would like to know what can it be? And what can be done? Any help will be appreciated.
  12. Dolby acsses it's for a surrounded sound effect. I'll try it out and report if anything changes.
