I recently picked up a 1080ti (asus rog 11gb) and was expecting super good fps and performance in general, but was very disappointed when there wasnt much of a difference from my 970 that I had in it before. I noticed this when one of my friends pointed out that I should be getting more fps than I was, but I don't know if that is true. I feel like something is wrong and my gpu isn't being used to its full potential because when I optimized GTA5 from geforce experience I was only getting 70 avg at the highest settings, and I was expecting much more because of how old the game was compared to how new this gpu is. A couple other games such as fortnite, pubg, escape from tarkov, and BF1 (I know all of these arent that greatly optimized) I was getting significantly close fps values that I was getting with my 970. I also was noticing that some people with the same setups as me were getting much better and more stable fps than I was. I have no clue what this could be but I hope someone does because it is quite frustrating to spend so much money on a gpu and not get that much out of it. Thank you
