  1. G'day everyone, I've been spend quite a bit of time undervolting my MSI Air Boost Vega 56 and have got some good and interesting results. However, I've now run into an issue. For some reason, using Wattman or Watt tool and can't seem to lower the voltage anymore or in fact change it manually. I have an image here showing the card "undervolted" to 1mV but it using HWiNFO it can be seen it is at around 1060mV. Interestingly it seems to fluctuate between 1050-1100mV. Does anyone know why this is the case? My Rig is: 6600K 4.2GHz 16GB DDDR4 MSI Air Boost Vega 56 Corsair RM850I Cheers!
  2. The GPU works as I can just remove it, DDU the drivers and reinstall it and it works fine. The issue is it quite difficult (more annoying) to do this every time my PC crashes due to the overclock or undervolt. Not sure if this is normal but I guess I can still work with this.
  3. Yeah I did undervolt State 6 and 7 to 1.00V. It seemed stable but the moment I increase the core clock by a little it crashed. The issue I don't get signal when I boot thus I can't see anything. I'm not sure how to get into safe mode like this The only solution I know right now to deal with no signal is to remove the gpu and DDU it and reinstall it all
  4. Sorry I forgot to mention I was using AMD Wattman
  5. Yeah that probably will work the main issue is just difficult to remove the card from the motherboard. Is there a way to use the iGPU without taking out the GPU because when I plug the on board to the monitor with the GPU in it, I still get no signal
  6. G'day all, I've been undervolting my MSI Air Boost Vega 56 and got to around 1000mV on State 6 and 7 with Core Clock of around 1540mhz. I tried to increase the clock by a bit but it ended up crashing. However, for some reason whenever it crashes I get a black screen when I reboot. The computer works I can heard all the programs loading but the Monitor gets no signal. The solution I found was to unplug the GPU and DDU the drivers then reinstall them. This takes a while and I dunno it this is normal and was wonder if their is better solution. Cheers! PC 6600K Gigabyte Z170 HD3 MSI Air Boost Vega 56 Corsair RM850I Windows 10 64bit BIOS F22
  7. Thanks DoctorNick and TrigrH for all the help! My PC is now working but turns out AMD doesn't support Windows 8.1 so gonna have to update.

  13. G'day all, I need a little help with installing my new GPU. My original config was a 6600K and R9 390X and now I'm upgrading to a Vega 56. When I installed the New Graphic card I couldn't get signal from the GPU or the on board motherboard. The GPU seems to work as the lights are on and fans are spinning. I have now taken the GPU out and now running on the Motherboard output. Cheers!
  14. Yeah it is pretty decent but I want to game 1440p. Are 2060s good for 1440p? They are around 520AUD above with 5700s also around that. GPUs in Australia are super expensive
  15. What would be a good card I could get if I could sell my R9 390x? I'm also not too sure if I can sell a R9 390x around Adelaide
  16. The listings for Rx 470 and 480 seem to be around 200AUD and above including shipping
  17. G'day everyone, I currently have a 6600K with a R9 390x and I'm wanting to crossfire it with another GPU. I was looking for second hand graphics cards and I saw a R9 390 for 170 AUD shipped. I was wonder if this is a good idea? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MSI-R9-390-Gaming-8GB-GDDR5-512-bits-gaming-graphic-card-gpu/254346928789?hash=item3b38422295:g:Is4AAOSwN-Fda2ml&frcectupt=true Cheers!

  19. Hey Just need a little help with my GPU right now. I was playing Deus Ex Mankind divided on my PC (i5 6600k, Sapphire Tri-X R9 390x) and I noticed even running on High how poor the FPS was compared to the benchmarks I checkout of other which were showing over 60FPS. Meanwhile I was getting on average only 17FPS. I've also noticed many times my AMD drivers seemingly crash for no reason as well. Yeah I really dunno what to do any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
  20. Yeah I'll probably get another stick of 8gb value ram but does ram speed even matter? Is kingston value ram ok?

  22. G'day guys just need some help with my PC performance. I over clocked a 6600k to 4.2ghz but in geek bench 4 it only managed to get a score of around 4000(single) and 13000 (Multi) which is not all that great compared to other scores. I got a 8gb stick of Kingston value ram so I'm not sure if the ram is bottlenecking the cpu. If anyone knows what's going on plz help. Cheers!
  23. I'm just looking for a budget 4K monitor for my setup as I tested out my R9 390x on a 4k TV and it works really well. Any size will do as long as it's 4K. Thanks Mate! 24. Well the title explains most of it. I just need some recommendations on a good budget 1440p monitor it dosen't need to be too big and 21 inches will do fine. It's will be great if obtainable in Australia but that doesn't matter too much. Thanks!
