  1. Thanks for the response, I'll look into the Fulla 2.
  2. Okay I will look into the Schiit Fulla 2. Thank you for the help.
  3. Not sure what you mean by type of system but its a gaming rig that I use for almost everything including music and watching movies from time to time. The reason I thought I needed a an amp/dac is JayzTwoCents said something like he went out and got the Mayflower amp + dac because it sounded muffled or muddy when he listened to it on an iPhone and PC. Then when he used the amp it sounded way better. Now according to the "before you buy an amp and dac" post it says muddy/muffled sounds. the website with the calculator says for Fairly Loud 110dB SPL 0.28Vrms 5.6mA 1.57mW. EVGA took away the page to see my mobo so I don't know if it can power the headset fully.
  4. I am new to the higher audio world. I just ordered the Sennheiser G4ME ZERO headset on Amazon since it was on sale pretty cheap. I am currently using Razer Kraken 2014 PRO. I was looking into amp's and dac's for better sound, I watched both Techquickie videos on them. I still feel like I know very little about witch amp and dac to get. One video Luke talked about power and loudness requirements. I just want to make sure I am getting the right amp and dac for the Sennheiser. I have seen the Mayflower Objective2 and ODAC Rev. B DAC & Amplifier and the Schiit Magni 2 and Modi 2 a lot and was wondering if they were overkill or not enough for this headset. JayzTwoCents and Barnacules reviewed the Mayflower (and later the Sennheiser headset using the mayflower amp + dac) and I looked at some other posts on the LTT forums and saw Linus's video on the Schiit and Mayflower. People were saying the Mayflower is old and there is better stuff now. $300 USD is about my limit but if there is something for not much more and worth it that is fine. Id prefer driver-less hardware but if it makes a big difference in quality that is fine (just less stuff to manage) What I will be doing with this is gaming, listen to music (rock/heavy metal), and use them when I play Rocksmith. Jay mentioned something about how there is not enough power to drive the speaker using the motherboard to make the full sound without the amp (I think what Luke was talking about). I also ordered a USB External Stereo Sound Adapter due to a YouTuber saying it can make a difference (cant remember who) just for the time being. Lastly if I plug the headset into my guitar amp I should get the full sound? It is a Marshall MG50cfx. Thank you for your time and help.
  5. Hi my friend is telling more more cores increase GPU performance is this true? Because I never heard this before. Thanks
  6. http://www.performance-pcs.com/noctua-nf-a14-pwm-special-linus-tech-tips-edition-140mm-cooling-fan.html The NF-A14 PWM are still in stock ~21 left. I have one and use the low noise adapter it is not quiet, but its a lot quieter with the adapter on if noise is a concern.
  7. I agree
  8. I love my 750 ti big fan of nvidia. I think my friend has a 260 and likes it. My only advise I have is amd CAN have problems on some games on launch day/week like just cause 3. I was able to run it with no problem but my friend had a shitty time.
  9. but the socket for the 5820k is 2011 not 1150. so it wont fit right?
  10. The only things would be gaming and streaming maybe making a youtube video hear and there
  11. i have an evga z97 ftw, 180 gb ssd, 2tb hdd,12gb ram (from an old pc), evga 750 ti
  12. I currently have an i5 4440 (3.1ghz) and want to get an i7 4790k is it worth it? EDIT: I will be gaming and streaming
  13. Hi I am looking to buy new ram for my pc. The current ram I have are from an old pc there speeds are 1,596 MHz. I read my mother board manual (its an evga z97 FTW) and what I have a question about is what this text states "The memory controller on most Haswell and Broadwell CPUs runs at a default frequency of 1600MHz. To achieve memory speeds above 1600+ may require manual setting of the memory timings, frequency and voltages and/or overclocking of the CPU." The current cpu I have is an i5 4440 (I plan to get an i7 4790k soon) and the memory types for the i5 are DDR3 1333/1600. but the ram i want to get is at 2,400MHz do I need to do something special in the bios and does that mean I need to overclock? Also do is it worth it to get higher MHz for gaming? Thanks, Jay
  14. Hopefully a gtx 980ti by the end of the year but right now a gtx 750ti
  15. No I have Cx750m right now and I was told it was bad for high end systems.
