  1. So, we all know the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, but have you ever looked at it further? The theme of the whole story is that slow and steady wins the race...BUT... if the slow tortoise beat the fast hare, doesn't that mean the tortoise is faster? Stay woke, my friends.
  2. I get you are trying to help, but you are sacrificing some things like the monitor which will probably be kept the longest out of everything. I might stick with the original build, but thanks so much for you help and feedback.
  3. I did that, but then it is still $60 over budget and the monitor is gone.
  4. Woah, hold on there, this is a $500 budget. I already went $40 over, and I'm not looking for ways to go over even more. Is there any way you could either make it cheaper or give suggestions of what to change?
  5. It's already in the list, I'm buying it off kinguin because there is no way I'm buying it full price on this budget.
  6. Yes, my friend needs a keyboard, but it is already in the list. (it sucks but it'll have to do)
  7. My friend was looking to join the pc master race, and wanted me to make him a $500 budget build. The budget included all of the peripherals he'll need, so the parts are really on a $400 budget. Can I have some thoughts/opinions of this list? Also, I know the peripherals suck, but I mean, that's what you have to sacrifice for performance. 8. Thanks a ton (and also to everyone else), I'll give him this part list, so make any last minute changes asap if you need to
  9. So I made a part list for a friend who was looking to play only a few games on a $500 budget (including kb+m and monitor). He played a game once on my pc and immediately wanted to switch from his laggy Xbox. So, how's this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HQKpD8 Notes: -no ssd should be here for this price -yes, he needs all the peripherals, no matter how horrible they are
  10. So it is official then, thank you. Also, by any chance do you have these headphones or have you heard anything about them (Google isn't going me any justice)?
  11. Yeah it's just so hard to believe for me because of how much sound the 598SE's leaked
  12. I found the Sennheiser HD 598 CS one day looking through Amazon. So I was wondering, I haven't heard of anybody really caring about them or even noticing them. I've brainstormed some random questions about these before I actually buy them (or don't). They may be stupid questions, but: 1. Are they real? 2. What's the difference between these and the HD 569's (other than aesthetics)? 3. Are they worth the buy over the HD 598SE/569? 4. Is that difference between leakage on these vs the open-back HD 598SE that significant? 5. Random: How comfortable are Brainwav HM5 Velor pads for long periods of listening vs stock? (Sorry for so many questions, I'm not forcing you to answer them all, but please make an effort to answer one at least)
  13. Yeah but on amazon I'm saving $30 on the cpu and around $30 on the mobo which saves a lot of money compared to spending the $60 for something that won't be used. I'm fairly sure the build will never be overclocked because the person I'm building it for is not a techie and just wants to click a few buttons to get to play some games. But you are right about the recuperating costs bit which makes choosing the 6500 a little harder. But overall, it may just be better to save $60 and/or put it towards other upgrades in my opinion. Sorry for the late reply!
  14. So you are saying I should switch the 6500 out for a 4690k?
  15. Yeah but he isn't a techie, so he really doesnt want to oc. And I have no idea how the build increased in price
