  1. I have been having problems with my pc since forever, but is's been ruining my vr experience so i want to fix it. I'm suffering from these microstutters which appear for no apparent reasons. Visible on both stock and oc configs, running a strix 1080ti and an 8700k running stock with a dark rock pro 4. The video is shot @ 60fps, monitor is 1080p60 aswell. Any ideas would be appreciated! EDIT: google photos ruins videos (which I didnt know when i came from my unlimited Standard quality pixel), any other site i could share videos without their framerate and quality being ruined?
  2. Screenshots: (damn, that's painful to read, I know :d)
  3. True, though this is just the community profile of FireSlash (linked through the official steam mod list) Do you know any means of contacting fireslash? I also believe that isn't him, but Steam Support isn't helping for now ;/
  4. Heya lads, I friend of mine got a steam message from (supposedly) a friend he is friends with. The person stated that my friend has violated the Steam community guidelines (as you could guess, my friend hasn't violated any rules at all) and that his account would get banned. After being accused, the person, which will further be referred as "The scammer", says that he's a steam support moderator and links the account FireSlash (ChrisK), as well as a 7 second video of him viewing my friends account and using steam tools to submit a violation. This has happened TWICE. The first time The Scammer requested 130$ in two Australium items (rare TF2 item from the Marketplace). My friend also had a chat with steam support, but in the end resulted in loss of the acount. The Scammer messaged him through my friends' friends hijacked account , as well as through FireSlash's account. Please help, if this really is FireSlash what could be done to stop this and to recover the account (which, needless to say, has some decent games on it)? How/why is steam support really scamming accounts from people? I'm attaching screenshots of some of the chat (though for some reasons he only has screenshots of The Scammer's text) Sorry for the bad formatting and text as a whole :d Cheers.
  5. Welp, just checked the price and saw that the z390 Gaming X is cheaper than the z370 Extreme4, looks better and has better vrms, I am going to go for it. Cheers lads.
  6. Was asking whether it's a good idea to get a z380 board if it is the same price
  7. Heya, I'm currently choosing a motherboard for my now-in-transit 8700k and I'm wondering whether I should get a z370 or a z390 board when they are at the same price (ex. Extreme4 is the same price as the z390 Gaming X), but am not sure which one I should pick. Any recommendations with the max price being the Extreme4 and lower prices appreciated?
  8. It's pretty much the same as the extreme4, though that would force me to use my hyper 212 evo before getting enough $ for a D15. Would it be worth it, or should I get the pro4 and the D15s?
  9. Heya, I am waiting on my 8700k to arrive next week and am wondering on what I should do with the remainder of my budget. Should I get the Asrock Pro4 or the Extreme4? I currently have a hyper 212 evo cooling my 6600k and have read really good stuff about both boards, with the Extreme4 having better vrm cooling and oc capabilities and more features than the Pro4, but is quite more expensive, so should I pick the Extreme4 and upgrade my cooler at a later stage or pick up the Pro4 with a new cooler
  10. Thank you lads, now comes the choice between 8700k on black friday/cyber Monday or 2700x
  11. It's virtually the same price as an 8700k in Bulgaria. Again, would the Ryzen 7 2700x be a good choice?
  12. 8700k is quite expensive over here. What about the 2700x?
  13. What about ryzen? Motherboards suggestions for that platform?
  14. Seeing as you are also from bulgaria, you probably know that here the 2700x is more expensive, but is it worth it?
  15. Do you think that the mobo I picked for my 6600k is shitty? Because if yes, I would completely agree :d. First build mistake I guess, skimping on a motherboard is stupid evidently. The Z370 boards I'm currently looking at are the Aorus gaming k3 from gigabyte and an Msi tomahawk, I think these would be good? im a moron when we talk about motherboards, so a bit help in this area would be appreciated. Also yes, I would probably upgrade to a dark rock pro 4/ nh15s at some point Unfortunately the 8700k is twice the money compared to a 9600k, so if I do not import it it's out of the question lol Well, the 2700x is more expensive than the 9600k and i do not know anything about amd (yes, might call me an intel fanboy because i've used them forever, but i'm okay with switching if it's worth it), how's the performance like?
  16. Heya, Soo I'm experiencing some maxing out and stuttering on my 6600k (in fortnite when it hits 100% usage fps drops from 120 to 70-80 which results in stuttering ((update:lowering target to 60fps makes a massive difference, but gta v and bf1 still stutter and arma3 is unplayable))), so I'm thinking about upgrading. My budget is around 800bgn (roughly 400 euro, a bit less), which is enough for a 9600k and a z370 mobo. Is it worth it and for the price is the 9600k the best choice?
  17. Update: Lowering fortnite's fps target to 60 makes a 50-60% cpu usage drop. I know this is normal, but doesn't that mean that the 6600k is not capable of running even fn at 100+ fps?
  18. Hm, I don't know, I'm going to try a few games out with fast sync enabled. If I go the upgrade route (which I would if I manage to save money ;d), what would you recommend? I'm eyeing the 9th gen I5 or an 8th gen I7, as I'm also getting into editing 4K Mavic Pro footage with Premiere as well as raw photo editing, which needs more cpu power. Haven't seen that many 9th gen benchmarks yet, for some odd reason, is it worth the jump so I have a cpu that'll actually last me longer than two years?
  19. Not talking about tearing, but stuttering when cpu peaks at 100%, even when capped at 60
  20. In fortnite and gta, yes. In bf1, far less
  21. Guess who's back, This is my second related post, only a new one because the old one is, well, old. So, system config is in my signature, but the essentials are 6600k and a gtx 1070, both oc'd stable (4.4ghz for the former, annd the latter at ~2070mhz and 9ghz effective memory clock). I am stuttering in games, namely battlefield 1, gta v and fortnite. I know that bf1 and gta are very demanding cpu wise, but Fortnite can be ran on a bloody potato, so I'm worried. I'm running a 1080p 60hz monitor and fortnite maxed out is stuttering, with the stutters perfectly correlating with 100% spikes in cpu usage, seen in task manager. Battlefield 1 was hammering the cpu at a constant 100%, but it is known to that to this cpu, never the less it also had some stutters (though turning on vsync almost completely eliminates them and makes the game pretty smooth. Vsync off shows 80-120ish fps maxed out, but still stutters (i'm quite sensitive to screen tearing, so it may be that I'm perceiving it as stuttering), GTA V is unplayable without v sync and has occasional stutters, sometimes more sometimes less (though far more than my friend with a gtx 1060 and a 7700t, both playing on the same FiveM server). I clean installed windows on my ssd about a month ago, leaving only my storage hdd unwiped. Oh, ram usage is also at 6-7gb out of 8gb filled up, but I doubt that's the problem (though maybe 8 is also not enough). What gives? Tonight I'm also going to try out Destiny 2. Is it time for an upgrade? I mean, it's been only 2 years since I built this guy but hell, if I need to upgrade i would consider it. What do you guys think? Is it hardware or software related? Cheers.
  22. I believe we kinda steered off topic :d, what are you guys suggesting? @fasauceome A cpu upgrade? Mate while i completely understand you, i am almost 100% sure my 1070 is not a limiting factor in fortnite (and bf1 for that matter).
  23. You lads got me confused lol. Fortnite is currently running at 100% gpu usage and 80ish % cpu.
