  1. Most of the y splitters im looking at are all 4 pin again. Would I still be able to connect the 3 pin into the 4 pin splitters without compromising fan speed or power?
  2. Ok I have the krait gaming 3x motherboard, which will be going into my corsair crystal 460x rgb case. The problem im having is that I purchased 3 more fans of the same kind that came in the case originally (Corsair SP120 rgb fans) My motherboard only supports 3 fan headers and they're all 4 pin while my fans are 3 pin. Is there some peripheral im able to purchase that will solve this?
  3. I did read somewhere that only certain ports are compatible with different types depending on which type it is i.e: Type a or Gen 1 Which ones would be unable to work together?
  4. I was looking to see if I could find a motherboard that would be able to support the USB 3.0 Jacks on the front of my case. Most of the motherboards have USB 3.1 support. I was wondering if I would be able to use the MSI z-170a Krait Gaming board with my case the: Corsair Crystal 460x RGB. Thanks!
  5. I am looking to add cable mods in the future so is it a modular PSU as well? or is it semi modular?
  6. Please forgive i'm new at this. But is there much difference?
  7. I will in the future. I have already bought the CPU for a low price. Thats why its not the overclockable one.
  8. I do know that the cooler is really overkill, however I am going more for the aesthetic than the functionality. Also the high watt power supply is there for when I upgrade in the future with different parts. That also ties in with the CPU and CPU cooler.
  9. Ok. So I am looking to build my first custom PC. I have already purchased some of the parts for it, and just want to make sure everything is compatible. I know pcpartpicker does have a compatibility check however, its not 100% accurate. I just want to make sure I am going to be able to use these parts together. I have already bought the: CPU, SSD, HD, and Case. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/J39pQV If things do need to change or if you have questions regarding what i'm looking for in terms of compatibilities message me and ill get back. I appreciate your help!
  10. Hey i'm looking for parts for a pc i'm going to build and need some help. First of all the pc's main purpose is for VR gaming and some digital media work. I would like to keep the budget as low as possible and still get decent fps at 1080p (for each eye in vr) I need a specific computer case for this build, with a flat side panel like a corsair obsidian. The theme of the build is green and i'm not too sure about how to get braided cables because those look cool I would also like to have it watercooled with a basic and high quality part. If you people have any suggestions and/ or ideas please let me know
  11. Im going for AMD because I also want a lot of digital media work not just gaming plus they are generally cheapers and I would prefer a Hard Drive just because of the price
  12. Hi, i've been researching computers and pc parts for a few months now and I think I got a handle on this. I would first of all like to ask if there is anything I still need to know as things are still a bit confusing. Secondly I am trying to build a pc. I made a post a while back about this and it wasn't all that professional. I would appreciate anyone that would help me out with the pc build. PC build requirements: Im trying to keep the budget in range of about $600-$950 Please keep in mind shipping does not matter and I live in Canada thus the price difference. I have a few parts in mind and will show these below. The overall purpose of this is for gaming with VR (oculus rift) at 1080p I don't need any extra peripherals just the pc parts. CPU: (AMD is preferred however intel is fine) Cooler: (Liquid cooling something cheap and effective) Motherboard: ? Ram: ? Memory: (Preferred internal HD not SSD) Video Card: (Something green or black) Case: NZXT S340 (black) $99 Power Supply: ? I also need some kind of Wi-Fi connectivity since I would have direct access to Ethernet. As well as the overall theme is green Any other questions please ask. I appreciate the help!
  13. First of all thank you to everyone who gave some suggestions and the overall purpose of the pc is for gaming and digital media work.
