4790k would be cheapest by far since I already have ddr3 memory.

Gaming. Will I miss out on any performance without the two extra cores?

I am moving to Intel after much frustration with AMD. I mainly game on my PC. I'm deciding between the 5820k, 4790k, and 6700k. I'm coming from an 8350. I have an H80Igt so cooling is not an issue.

I just checked the temp in the bios and its at 11 degrees.

I dont think its throttling. Corsair link is saying my cpu is idling at 2 degrees Celsius. In GTA 5 i was maintaining 60 fps almost everywhere and now i can barely get above 30. None of the settings have been changed.
