Hey guys, I bought a Asus z390 TUF and a 9900k, and when I set it to adaptive voltage with turbo to 1.35 and I boot up Windows and immediately going into CPU-Z it says 1.6v (so I turned it off). If I change the offset to -0.200 it goes to under 1.4 but still.. Is there a way to fix this? On my z270 Prime it runs at the voltage I set in the turbo field. Cheers

Hey guys.. Reinstalled windows, it did the same shit last time but i can't remember how I fixed it. Basically I have two extra drives which are both similar and they dont show up in file explorer or disk management but under device manager they show 'Intel Raid 0 Volume' and 'Intel Raid 1 Volume' Is this some intel rapid shit? How tf do I fix it without wiping? Help is much appreciated, thanks :D

I think I have the worst 6700k ever made

Realbench and Intel XTU. All stable there, but not in Vegas rendering (4.4 stable) -

Sweet, thanks for your help. Yeah I saw in some benchmarks 4.4GHz was kinda the sweet spot for some games. Sometimes above it you lose some fps. I was going to probably change back to 4.4 anyways due to temps Thanks anyway -

Damn that's interesting. Next time I unmount the cooler I'll defs check. So I guess there's nothing I can really do or change to make it stable? It's stable in games and stress tests just not rendering in Vegas.. -

I gave it 1.37 but it gives it a 0.02 boot for some reason (possibly LLC?) and it shows 1.39 in XTU / Hwmonitor / cpuz etc How do I find out? Fk -

Lol shiet. When I got my old z170-ar a couple of years ago, I used the auto tune tool (LMAO). It set the voltage to 1.42...Needless to say the h80i couldn't cool it -

Sweet. I read something about LLC? Load line calibration? Never heard of it until now, is it needed? -

Yeah but I said that just to show I had a dif psu And idk... I tried 1.35 PC bluescreened on startup, tried everything up to 1.39 During a sony vegas render it bluescreened after 1.39 Running it @ 4.4ghz and less voltage holds stable forever, so it's just weird Just a quick edit, the 4.5 is stable in stress tests and games just not rendering. Could it be software? -

I have a Z270-AR and a Corsair TX850M pretty decent stuff I also ran a dif board and a 1000w psu previously and the chip was still bad -
Lol, I can't get 4.5GHz stable @ 1.39v I've seen others that hit 4.9 @ like 1.28 Why do my lyf suketh

I think I solved it, change 'maximum performance' in nvidia control panel to adaptive, weird.. It says it only works for 3d applications. I had to restart as well, which is even weirder.

Hey guys so I'm running two monitors and two 980 g1 gamings and it idles @ 1228mhz This makes temps super high @ idle, I've read about it being an issue with multi monitors and can be fixed with nvidia inspector multi display power saver but all modern versions have it removed. Anyone know how to fix? Thanks heaps

VERY high temps with h100i and 6700k?
nixtone replied to nixtone's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Quick update. I'm running 1.36v (pre bad chip) @ 4.5ghz and with very high ambient temps I'm hitting 74 max under stress. Pretty nice. -
VERY high temps with h100i and 6700k?
nixtone replied to nixtone's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Very nice. My idle is probably the same as my ambient atm, hitting mid 20's (feels warmer, I live in the tropics) Load in csgo was 55 degrees max. Might try and OC. What voltage is yours? And 4.4ghz ye? EDIT: My idle: -
VERY high temps with h100i and 6700k?
nixtone replied to nixtone's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Sweet sweet. It's at 1.22v atm and under Intel XTU I'm averaging 51 degrees. When I booted the PC and started realbench it hit a one time high of like 63 or something. Super good. EDIT: Idle temps dropped 10 degrees as well. -
VERY high temps with h100i and 6700k?
nixtone replied to nixtone's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Interesting. I realised in my last post when I enabled xmp i said I hit 'no' and I realised it disabled my turbo boost meaning I only hit 4ghz instead of 4.2 I re-enabled xmp and selected 'yes' and it changes my voltage to 1.42 or something? That's why it's so hot. Wtf? I changed voltage to adaptive and change it to 1.3 max and my temps are super low now. Wtf? Now I'm averaging under 60 degrees and hitting 60 degrees MAX. Could I go even lower with the voltage? 1.3 seems high for stock -
VERY high temps with h100i and 6700k?
nixtone replied to nixtone's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
So, this is really odd. I tighted it up it was kinda loose (not loose enough that it could move but the screws needed heaps of tightening) Anyway, I went into bios and set everything to default, reloaded XMP and clicked 'no' when it asked to change intel clock options. Now it's hitting max 67~ degrees instead of 88. Wtf? Could tightening it really make that much difference? That's honestly insane -
VERY high temps with h100i and 6700k?
nixtone replied to nixtone's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I used some generic kind and the preapplied paste. If I remember correctly there’s quite a lot on there. I bought some proper stuff as well I might have to reapply it Could it be because it’s not tight enough? I think it’s about medium tightness -
Hey guys just upgraded from h80i to h100i v2. My 6700k idles normally it seems but under load in easy games like csgo it hits 85 degrees sometimes higher. In stress tests it hits quite high too. What could be the issue? I've got it top mounted with 2 sp120 fans underneath blowing air out of the case. This is a pic under realbench load: Everything is stock. No OC. 87 degrees? Ambient temps are probably around 30 degrees maybe a tad less. Any ideas? Thanks

I found the issue just then...You won't believe it and I'm quite ashamed. I realised my h100i and cpu was hitting 85-96 degrees stock whilst ingame and under load. Seems as I had an old tab open in incognito which was a piratebay proxy which was resource hogging? mining or something through the browser? Who knows but it fixed both issues.. Strange?

Hey guys so I thought this was an issue caused by my SLI but I've narrowed it down to chrome? I've got two 980's in SLI and in csgo WITH chrome open I get very varying fps from 120-400 (max settings) but it goes up and down constantly. With chrome closed I get a solid 350-400+ fps CONSTANT no drops. What's causing this? I have facebook open, 3 tabs of youtube, reddit, outlook, instagram, gmail, mwave and this forum. Any ideas? Thanks heaps

Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to RMA the psu and board and buy a better psu like the tx850m and a z270-ar instead of the z170 ar. Will sell RMA replacements on ebay
