  1. Hi all. Recently RMA`d my GTX560ti for the third time in 3 months and the vendor has felt my pain and replaced it with a GTX590...winner (no haters please, staying stock).. ;-) The thing is that now I am going to have to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard to do the GPU justice. I have been wanting to go Intel for some time, but kept on getting stuck in the AMD upgrade loop (which has been fine until now).. So, could you spec me a CPU and Motherboard only that will let this gpu fly... Don`t want to spend mega, just want a healthy option that is good for the next couple of years.. Playing - Metro2033, Crysis, Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Sniper Elite V2, Farcry 3...etc. Spec of my current rig is.. CPU - AMD 955be O/C to 4Ghz MOBO - Asus Sabertooth 990fx RAM - 16gb Corsair 1600 PSU- Corsair HX1050 CPU COOLER - Noctua nh-d14 CASE - HAF 932 BOOT DRIVE - M4 Crucial 128 Monitor - 1920x1080 Thanks.. Revo.
  2. The psu may be overkill....but got it at the right money...plus I will go for a 7950 at some point...possibly x2..
  3. Hi all.. I have a good AMD rig and am finding the need to change my cpu from a solid 955BE @ 4Ghz. Thing is....do I just throw in a Piledriver FX8350.... Or do I save up some money and move over to an i5 and a z77 motherboard. I dont want to waste money and I am gaming more. Phenom 955be. Asus sabertooth 990fxa. GTX560TI 2GB. Corsair 1050HX psu. 16 Gb Corsair RAM. SSD. 2x 2tb hard drives. HAF 932 case. Keep it real please... Thanks. Revo.
  4. Dont they have poor fans...could i fit some noctua fans to it..???
  5. Scrap that idea of a custom loop....... I am going to go with a complete maintainence free water cooler for my cpu..peace of mind.. Now so many to choose from...aaggghhhh.!!!!
  6. Was thinking about a closed loop as apposed to a custom loop because i am just starting with water. Later i will be water cooling my 2 x 560ti's so what do you think the safe option would be. Dont want to spend too much too soon...but add to later on. For now i just need a cpu cooler that is better than mine. Thanks. Revo.
  7. Hi everyone... As the title states.... Wanting to go wet for my next cooler..have a ThermalTake Frio OCK on at the moment and its great on low fan speed for normal use..but get it working and its far too noisy to run without headphones when gaming. Saw the Kraken X60 and was impressed. I have a Haf 932 so should be able to go for a big radiator...but..?? Which cooler to go for.. I dont mind swapping fans to fit the rad later to get better/quieter flow if the rad and block/pump are very good to start with. Thanks.. Revo.
