I was told by someone here on the forum that instead of getting frustrated finding lga771 boards with pci-E X16, I could just get a mod sticker for the processor. how would I go about board compatibility?

no, its ok i haven't decided on a motherboard yet so, i will start a new thread about compatibility with the lga 775 boards, although it is designed for lga 771 and it uses 80W (approx) therefore i think i will have trouble in the area of performance and wattage that the board can take.

so, you're saying i should get an adapter and go with a lga 775 motherboard? BTW i was reading the "Case" part way too seriously
