  1. And turns out it was the SSD that was failing, bought a new one and everything works fine now.
  2. edit: CPU, RAM crashed eventually now, will swap out the CPU next.
  3. No, at least not diagnosed. I'm just really paranoid about my health and run to the doctor for a lot of things that I know are nothing, but the paranoia just gets the better of me I guess. I just try not to think about it and to distract myself by doing whatever
  4. So I made a topic last week or so about my computer freezing on the mobo bootup screen and just booting up normally when hard reset after the initial freeze. Since then I've been checking my system SSD and reinstalling Windows, reslotting my RAM and CMOS battery, but all in all it didn't help. Now since the reinstall of Windows it won't freeze instantly anymore, but first tell me that "applications stopped working" and that they might respond later on. Now when clicking on either the "terminate process" button in the popup or trying to click on something else on screen, the thing will just freeze again, with the exception of the mouse cursor (out of all things). Now I've been taking everything out of the system, adding parts to check what's causing the freezes. CPU only = bootloop CPU, RAM = everything works up until now with the stock cooler installed. CPU, RAM, GPU = not checked yet. Now I did notice some coil whine/static sounds coming from the GPU before removing it from the system. Again, right now everything seems to be working just fine, no crash for about 1,5h. So could a GPU actually cause these kinds of issues? Thanks for help/advice!
  5. kk will do, I'll report back when I've got some results
  6. This started happening about two days ago. I have no idea what's causing it since I have'nt even opened up and tinkered with the system or anything but now suddenly, the "first boot of the day" never outputs a video signal and I have to reset/hold the power button to make it boot up again to work. It's just really weird, everything works - Harddrives/fans are spinning, peripherals are lighting up... it's just the monitor that won't find a displayport input on first boot but again, will work perfectly fine when rebooting. What is more likely to be at fault here? Could it be my monitor? Or is it something else? Thanks for help, iso
  7. Nope unfortunately not. Here's one of the many articles btw http://www.phonearena.com/news/Nexus-5X-seems-to-have-some-serious-lag-issues-have-you-experienced-any_id76150 I know it's a bit old but still 53% of the readers actually experienced lag/sluggishness with the 5X
  8. I'd like to have Android 6.0 yes, but USB C isn't really that big of a deal for me.
  9. Was looking at it but as I mentioned, many reviews said that the performance was inconsisten at times (even in 'normal' use)
  10. So I need a new phone. My old one (a Nexus 5 finally died after one too many drops on the floor) and now I am looking for something new in the range of 400€-550€. I had swapped my Nexus with my friends' S6 for a while, but even after flashing Android 6.0 (hehe >:) I couldn't really get used to TouchWiz, so we switched back again after only two weeks. I was looking at the 5X, but a lot of reviewers were mentioning inconsistent performance even in day to day use, which I haven't heard of with the Moto X, even though they share most of the hardware right? Also I would very much like a bigger screen after having used 5 inches for the last what, three years? So I first looked at the Nexus 6X, then at its price tag (atm about 650€ for the base model here in Germany) and looked away again. Then the Moto X Pure caught my eye. Great customization and with its 450€ base-pricetag a pretty good deal - the thing being that I found a barely used 6X (64GB) in my area on what's basically the german craigslist for 590€. Now my question is, is the Nexus worth the 140€ more? I mean sure it has the 'superior' chips and all. Both have front facing speakers, fast charging, similar display sizes and decent/good battery life. I don't game at all on my phone, I listen to music on my daily commute (about 2hrs total) and maybe an hour or so of YouTube in the evening, so I wouldn't really mind the slower GPU on the Moto X. The biggest thing I think would be the OS at this point - I really loved tinkering around with my Nexus 5, flashing custom roms and stuff (one of the reasons I hated the S6. EUGH curse you Odin) and I don't really know how fast Motorola is with updating the Moto X, (I think I've read that it's getting Marshmallow soon?). I know that Motorola is pretty much one of the better non-stock Android options out there but how about the dev community/roms? What would You say, or better - do You have any experiences with either device?
  11. Thats not the problem, I was just wondering if it was possible (or more like why it isn't xp)
  12. I know, right? I have read this review before and was kinda confused as to why it doesn't work for me.
  13. Hi there, So I got my hands on an MX Master, and the wireless is cool and all - but I was wondering if it was possible to use it wired instead of relying on Bluetooth. The thing is, I have the Bluetooth reciever plugged into my laptop and the cable at my desktop so it would be pretty handy to just plug it in when using it on my desktop and simplay take it with me when on the go with my laptop. The manual doesnt mention it, and it won't work when plugging it in with the USB cable only. Sorry for my rough English, I am really tired atm z_z Thanks!
  14. Yeah I guess^^ How'd you like it? I kinda love it, just fun to watch for me personally:D
