  1. Yeah I've checked that and put it in an enabled slot but the wifi card literally causes my PC to not boot.
  2. "PCI Bus Enumeration" I have a HDD, SSD, M.2 drive and a 980ti. but it boots with all those things.
  3. I'm getting stuck in a boot loop that takes 2-3 restarts to get into Windows. I get Code 94 on my mobo and after removing my PCI-e wireless card, which is this TP-Link WDN4800, It boots but I'm not sure why it isn't working. 4. mhmm. yeah A friend just mentioned building two separate machines each running an i7 5960x and using them together to render.
  5. Main day to day work is Cinema 4D using standard or physical renderers. Those extra special times, the GPU rendering would go through Octane plugin for C4D. Maya is also a back up tool if someone specifically asks for it. Of course any Adobe software is always being used.
  6. Yeah I'm still unsure of whether the 980ti will be aio or air cooled still. So that might be the one that goes. It would but GPU rendering is not always a reality of working. I'd say 90% of the time it's going to be CPU so that's why I'm staying conservative on the card.
  7. No I work on a very similar machine at work and it's just enough. There's never enough rendering power. There's also already a 980ti in the build. Another one will be added in the future.
  8. Sorry! It's a workstation for 3D rendering. Some gaming but i'm sure it will handle it well enough. I forgot to update that. I think I bought a 1000w 80+ gold.
  9. Just trying to see if this motherboard is a good motherboard for this build. What other RAM options do I have? is DDR4 ram different from ECC DDR4 ram? 10. As a general question, is that Asus motherboard good quality or should I be looking at something else?
  11. Cost x Performance is better on the 980ti's either way. If I did go down GPU rendering, I would quickly need 2-3 more 980ti's in a dedicated GPU enclosure. Those extra 300 bucks on the titan's don't really get me much farther than just one 980 ti.
  12. two 980ti's will be a down the line investment if I end up using GPU rendering as much as I want to. It all depends on the workflow etc. so im being cautious and just keeping 1 980ti for now.
  13. Ohhhh that's good to know. I'll look into it. Is this something that the Pro or Business version would solve normally?
  14. 3-5K. Obviously I'd love to spend less but I'm looking to make sure this rig lasts a while.
