Then all the reviewers should get the same results as me... But they all get 74C, i cant even get close to that even if I use 100% fan speed
-
As i said, I ran my testing open air and its almost maxing out its fans
-
My 1080 ti Poseidon from Asus is running much hotter and louder than it should. I sent it back and they said there was no problem with it. In my testing, open air sub-20C ambient it reaches up to the temp limit of 84C while running at 80-90% fan speed (LOUD) According to the place where i bought it they got 72C and said you barely heard the card. What could cause this? I have tried different PCIe slots and a different PCIe powercable and connector on my Corsair RM850. My temps and fan speed were monitored using GPU Tweak 2 and HWMonitor. I need help ASAP. Thanks in advance Edit: Im on air, havent gotten my watercooling stuff yet FIXED: The cards fucking cooler isn't screwed in properly... Putting a little pressure on the cooler towards the pcb drops temps and fan speed dow to the right levels

evolv atx Evolv ATX TG Custom loop
b3rt1l replied to b3rt1l's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
So I'm posting a second thread about this, since only one person actually posted something related to my question. My question goes: How should I place my loop in the Evolv atx TG if I'm watercooling my 7700k and a 1080 Ti Poseidon. I'm NOT asking for mods to help airflow, I am already aware of those problems with this case. How much rad space should i get? If I can keep the looks of the case and have to deal with slightly higher temps I'm fine with that. Some options I have thought of are 360mm Push/pull front and a 240mm top, or possibly just a thicker 360 front with push pull. I'm NOT asking for mods and replacement front panels! Thanks in advance- 15 replies

Ok, getting something like that done professionally would be very difficult here i Sweden where I live. So I'll either not do any cutting or some very simple mods to help a little bit- 15 replies

That is a mod I would actually do. Did you do it yourself? How was it done? That doesn't impact the looks as heavily as some things i have seen.- 15 replies

One mod I have thought of doing is so you can fit fans above the fan bracket which would allow me to run a 360 up top and a 45mm 240 front with push pull. I'm very interested in the idea of push/pull setups as that would help overcome some of the restriction with a rad.- 15 replies

The spacer mods and the removal of the mesh don't affect the look that much so I have indeed thought of doing those. Most mods are fine as long as they don't cost too much (After a loop I would be basically dry on cash) and they don't ruin the looks. I knew the case compromised airflow and as I stated I would be ready to run my fans a little faster. I would most likely be running a bunch of Noctua NF-F12 fans since I already have 4 of those.- 15 replies

What's the point in buying a 180$ case if I'm gonna ruin the main selling point? I didn't want to ruin the looks of the case if at all possible, even if I get 5-10C higher temps or have to run the fans at slightly higher rpm.- 15 replies

I'm going to build a custom loop, there is not many upgrades i can do hardware wise anymore with a 7700k and 1080 ti. So I seek advice here. What would be the best rad/fan setup in a Evolv ATX TG? I'm willing to slightly mod the case but I'm not very fond of modding the front or top panels. I know this case has pretty bad airflow but I am willing to trade higher temps for looks. As I understand the top is the most restrictive, and as such would it be best to put only a 360mm rad in the front with push pull and no rads in the top or go with only a top rad in push pull to have better airflow into the case? As I said I am ready to take 5C higher temps if It means I don't have to cut in my front or top panel. Though I will drill extra holes in the basement for the pump if I go with a front rad. The versions I have thought of so far is either a 240mm push/pull front and a 360mm top OR just a thicker 360 front with push pull. Thanks in advance. (I already know of the spacing mods) Specs: 7700k 1080 Ti Poseidon Asus z270-F EDIT: I will most likely be delidding my 7700k in the near future

I have noticed that in some games (namely Escape from Tarkov and PUBG) i get much worse fps than I should i feel like. My gpu usage sometimes goes up to 99% and then i geat great fps, but mostly I get a not so smooth experience with somewhere between 50-70% gpu load. And before everyone start typing "CPU BOTTLE OMG" i have tried running my 7700k at 4.8Ghz and there is no difference to stock, I never get 100% usage on my cpu and never 100% usage on a single core either. Mostly it's at about 50% on one or two cores. I'm not throttling and i'm constantly at the speed I set on the cpu. I'm using an Asus Poseidon GTX 1080 ti and a 7700k with 16gb of 3000Mhz Corsair RGB ram. My resolution is 2560x1080 (Benq XR3501). If it matters I use a pair of 480gb Kingston A400 ssds in raid0 (bois raid). Note that in games like BF1 i play on ultra preset (no DX12) and 125% res scale and get 100fps. Now I know BF1 is much more well opimized than the early access games I named earlier but still. 70fps in pubg with 120% res scale and everything on high except Textures, AA and View Distance which are on ultra. My friend playing with the same settings @1440p (7700k @stock and 1080ti as well) gets 20 more fps. As I said I don't get even close to 100% usage on any core of the cpu. Thanks in advance

After some testing I did only see about 1c improvement after taking the front panel off completely. Fan speed of the gpu was the same and so were the clock speeds.
-
I have seen that video and I might be doing some mods in the future to open up the front panel and top panel. But atm i was just wondering what the optimal setup would be with what i have to work with.

I was wondering how I should set up my fans in my Evolv Atx TG, I have access to 4 Noctua NF-F12 and the 3 140mm fans that came with the case. I am only using aircoolers atm but I will be getting a custom loop somewhere between now (27/9 2017) and christmas. What would be the optimal way to set up my fans so my gpu gets sufficient airflow. The temps on my 1080 ti are a little to high for my liking and even with a ambient temp that is ca 17c i still hit 85-90c if the temp limit is at 90c. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
