  1. I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum but can anyone please explain me regarding bitcoins? And what is bitcoin mining? I searched on google but the terms were too complicated for me to understand
  2. I appreciate you trying to think about the budget which isn't too much in my case but as long as the card is under 20000 bucks, anything goes, which is why I was considering an 18000 INR card (the 380) instead of a 16000 INR card (the 960) because I can afford that graphics card.
  3. Oh I almost forgot I'll change the title right away
  4. From what I've heard, the 380 can handle almost every game at 1080p at 60fps whereas the same cannot be said for the 960. However I could be wrong since many games are optimized for Nvidia and others are optimized for AMD.
  5. Yes I'm so sorry I meant the 380. Stupid Me. Thanks for your prompt responses everyone
  6. In my previous threads I had mentioned that the gtx 960 was the best graphics card I could get under the budget of 20000 INR ($300) since it only costed 16000 ($241) and performed well whereas getting something like the r9 280X or 290 or even 390 was out of the question since they costed way more. However, I researched a bit and found out that I could get an R9 380 on amazon.com at just 200$, and even if you consider the import duty and customs and all that the total comes to around 18000 or $272. Since R9 380 is leagues above the GTX 960 the performance is out of the question. However my doubt is that is this graphics card good enough for gaming? I mean is there any significant aspects I should take care of such as heat output and power consumption? And is there any difference between buying a graphics card in the US and buying one in India (I know that they both fit in the PCI express slot but do they demand an alternate voltage of power?). Here is the graphics card I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZGF0UJA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER Thanks and have a good day
  7. Thanks a lot. You've been very helpful
  8. If I do it wrong somehow (something like fitting negative to positive and vice versa), is there any component which could fail or damage my components as a result or is it fine if I make mistakes when connecting these cables?
  9. I have watched tons of videos including the ones from linustechtips and NCIX but the problem is the power supply cable connections aren't too elaborated (or I am just too dumb to understand it). I hope my queries can be solved without mentioning me as a 'noob' since I've never built a PC before: 1. Can the 24 Pin connector which goes from the psu to the motherboard fit both ways. And if it does, will it work. 2. Are there any cables whose orientation I should be extremely aware of (the ones which can cause a disaster if wrong)? 3. Should I connect the motherboard or the graphics card to the monitor? Thank you very much
  10. Yes I suppose so. Will I be getting 60fps maxed out at 720p? And 60 fps at medium to high settings at 1080p? Thank you
  11. Zotac GTX 960 AMP edition (2GB): 16000 INR ($241) MSI R9 380: 23000 INR ($341) 1 USD= ~62-66 INR
  12. So if you are suggesting that I should save up some money and get the 380 instead, I guess that's for the best. Thank you for your response
  13. Damn Linus wasn't playing when he said that the community here is very friendly. Thanks a lot guys i'll be here more often now.
  14. I really appreciate your prompt response, but unfortunately due to extra charges as I mentioned earlier, the r9 380 costs roughly 23000 in Amazon here. I had considered the 270X and the zotac gtx 960 Amp edition but looking it up on the internet it seems that the gtx 960 wins. I still wanna see if some card is out there which can outperform this card at the price point. Thanks a lot for your response
  15. Hello I wish I could get your opinion on which graphics card to buy that will go well with an FX 8320 My budget is 20000 INR (which translates to ~300 USD). I will be aiming for gaming max at 720p or at medium settings at 1080p with 60 fps or above. NOTE: Please keep in mind that in India, the graphics cards are over $80-90 more expensive than its US counterparts due to shipping, profit by merchants and whatever else in between so if you could suggest me something with keeping that into consideration, I would appreciate that even more. Thank you and I hope I didn't offend you with anything.
