  1. Yeah, i considered the 390 at firsr but need the CUDA and was planning on using shadow play
  2. Wondering how multi tasking is with this CPU. Will it be enough for playing games like overwatch, star wars battlefront and others with programs like skype/ts, spotify and youtube open without much performance loss in gaming? Gonna be paired with a GTX 970. If not would it be better to go with an i7 4790k and a 380x? I would probably be able to upgrade my gpu to pascal by the end of the year if I go that route.
  3. Alright, thanks for the help both of you!
  4. Any other modems that you can recommend around the same price range with more than one ethernet?
  5. Woops you're right on that one, didnt look closely at the package to see that. This is what I havehttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/xfinity-arris-touchstone-docsis-3-0-cable-modem-and-wireless-router-with-telephony-adapter-black/9082028.p?id=1219405801606& But like I said, its making a high pitched noise very often so instead of calling my isp to get a replacement, I thought Id just get my own
  6. So I currently have this stock modem thing from comcast but its been making this high pitched sound for months and I decided it was time for an upgrade. Now I dont know much about networking but I was looking to get a modem and router. Kind of on a budget so here was what I picked out: NETGEAR N750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Gigabit Router (WNDR4300) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008HO9DK4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_QjJEwb55N1J0T ARRIS SURFboard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Retail Packaging - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YUU5628/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_hkJEwb0TYDBHT So now are these two compatible with eachother and my comcast isp? I know its probably a pretty dumb question but just thought I'd ask before purchasing. Feel free to leave any suggestions. Also: http://imgur.com/i5ePBMa
  7. Was thinking about picking up this monitor but with the reviews Ive seen on it, i have some mixed feelings about getting it. Wanted to know your thoughts on it if any of you have the monitor. If i dont end up getting this is it worth paying extra for the PA248Q? Btw: if i get the PB238Q, i can get a 4790k instead of a 4690k
  8. Awesome man, I do plan to overclock so thats fine. So just a DVI cable? Sounds good to me. (My monitor does have a DVI port)
  9. Looking to get this gpu from evga b stock http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-3973-RX Quick questions. What is the difference from the SC version? What cables am I going to need to buy? Any recommended brand of cables?
  10. EDIT: Forget white and blue color scheme. Can be anything
  11. Looks very good! Except he needed a monitor and OS factored into the cost
  12. So a friend of mine got the okay from his parents to be able to build his first PC. Im going to be building it with him so I came up with a rough outline for a build hovering around $1000. Here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/J6Zx8d He doesnt want to overclock so dont need a K cpu. I chose the 970 because since its his first build, I dont want to have him run into any technical issues like the AMD cards just had with their fans locked at 20%. He wanted a blue and white build so thats the theme I went with. Also, he needed to include a monitor and OS. (He didnt want to do ms software swap) Anything that can be changed? Are AMD cards still safe to get for someone who isnt that tech savy and dont want to have to worry about doing anything with their system for a while? Thanks and let me know what you guys think!
  13. @Sauron @Enderman alright thanks guys!
  14. Is it able to go down to 1920x1080? I have a GTX 970 atm and I know it wont be able to as well as Id like in 1440p. So am I able to downscale the resolution on this monitor until I wait to upgrade when pascal comes out?
  15. logitech g302 is $28 on amazon atm
