  1. could take a screenshot but the vcore is 1.2.... just like i entered.... same as the VCCIN which is 1.9v which also messures 1.9v on the mobo..... the real question is, can you even messure vcore correctly on cpus with an integrated voltage regulator?
  2. Hello guys, I couldn't find concrete info on this so im starting a new topic, if I have overlooked an already existing thread on this, please send me a link. Anyway, I was overclocking my 6800k to get a final highscore in cinebench r15 before i diled in a more conservative oc for the first time and noticed that the vcore I entered in the bios (1.365v for 4.445 ghz, 1426 score) actually read 1.43 v on the motherboard! (asus strix x99 gaming) I know that Broadwell-e has an integrate voltage regulator and the imput voltage was fixed to 1.9v and the cache voltage at 1.28 so what voltage did i actually read? Asus tends to overshoot the voltage a bit and my llc was pretty conservative aswell..... Now i changed vcore to 1.2v and it still reads 1.38v on the mobo but all software ( from hardware info 64 to cpuz reads 1.2v) btw, i messured directly on the back of the socket because i dont know any other checkpoint.... Thank you in advance for the answers^^ i really dont want to break anything when i try to place nr1 on firestrike for the 6800k 980ti combo (currently nr3)
  3. hello, i bought a virident flashmax m1400 of ebay last week assuming that it would work on windows 7 because it works on windows server2008 r2 which is built very simularely. i cant seem to find a driver that works though. has anyone experience with that kind of stuff? thx in advance for your answers.
  4. didnt know.... i thought i could use it then only with normal sata speeds. anyway the asapter you likned before... it would work with a m.2 wit both keys, right?
  5. the other way round to this. but i cant seem to find anything.
  6. is this compatible with m.2s with both m and b key?
  7. it has a slot but it doesnt support sata based drives
  8. Hello, to make it short: I used a m.2 sata drive in my old rig but the new mobo only supports pcie based ssd's. are there any kind of adapters so solve this? thx for the helt beforehand^^
  9. well... the thing is... i have an old 970A board but i wont set it under ln2... the low side mosfets are way too weak. I had a newer one which could have handled exoc but it was locked down to 1.55v so i kept on looking and as mentioned i found a deal for about 80€ so i would take that if i can ^^
  10. If you mean the launch of zen and that the boards will get cheaper, then yes... i know that will happen but i saw a really good deal on a used on so that doesnt really matter... 10€ up or down isnt that important... And as said, im still a beginner and a 230€ crosshair is too expensive for me atm... but if you know better, chaper options then i would be more than happy to know them
  11. hello, I am searching for a cheap motherboard for extrem overclocking. I'm only starting out with ln2 so I don't want to buy the best stuff out there... I have an old fx6100 laying around so I searched for a am3+ borad. I saw gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 rv4 for sale from a second hand seller but can't find the max vcore anywhere. I don't to be stuck with a board that can only deliver the usual 1.55v. Would be awesome if someone could tell me if the board allowes voltages around 1.8v. Thank you in advance^^
  12. I didn't get an error for the drivers, and the overclock is fine...+ I tried it at stock which didn't fix the problem. The load on the 970 was around 92-97% PS: restarting didn't help it either... was my first thought too...
  13. hello i started folding with folding@home on my gtx970 some days ago and everything worked out well but since i added my old gtx650 to help folding it doesn't use the full potential of the 970... it always caps out at 540mhz on the core. if someone knows why this is or how to solve this problem, please help me^^
