  1. does this only apply to the 990s in particular or also others like the 880s?
  2. Sure! I'll do one when I got the time
  3. sounds good to me, thanks! I'll probably get the X2HR.
  4. thanks for the recommendation! the 58x looks solid, shame the 58x would cost a bit more for me since i had to use a forwarder for it, how's the x2hr compared to the 58x?
  5. thanks for the suggestion! don't think I can get the 250 ohm version though, since I'll occasionally bring it outside
  6. my old closed back are tiring to use and decided to give open backs a shot, since I've read they're less tiring to use for long usage my current budget is 200 USD, don't wanna go overkill with my budget, but i also don't wanna cheap out on it, so if the headphones offers good value I can stretch my budget to 300 and about my use cases : for music, I use it to listen to rock, jazz, classical, soft rock, and R&B; for games, I casually play games, so as long as it sounds good, that works for me Thanks in advance! sorry for the long post TL;DR old closed back is tiring to use, need a new open back headphone around 200 bucks
  7. aye, I think I'll just stick with the Hm5 earpads for now, turns out the DT 880s 32 ohms are out of stock here, the only one left is the 250 ohms, which if I recall correctly, needs an amp to run well that's just my luck, the only Bayerdynamics available here is the DT 880 250 Ohms and the DT770s
  8. huh, didn't know that could be unhealthy, I just need something to listen to while I work, anyways, never thought of changing the pads, thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into it and talk about Brainwavz HM5s, is it good enough to upgrade from a m30x? from a sound and comfort standpoint I never tried an open back, this is pretty much why im trying to get an open back for the new one, I feel that the M30x's clamp also has something to do with the fatigue how'd you compare both the DT 880s and 770s to SHP 9500 or X2HR?
  9. Alright, I'll lay down some headphones mentioned in this thread with my region's pricing DT880 Pro - 280 USD DT990 Premium - 295 USD DT770 Pro 80 - 200 USD HD6xx - 355 USD Fidelio X2HR - 245 USD Cloud II - 90 USD HD 439 - 70 USD I can't find a K7xx, K550 and SHP9500 here Some my friend recommends Sony MDR 7506 - 170 USD Sennheiser HD 598 - 215 USD Samson SR850 - 20 USD Sennheiser HD 579 - 165->190 USD yeah, i know, pricing sucks here
  10. I read somewhere that the HD6xx is not suitable for playing games, if it is, is it noticeable? I can't find them in my area sadly, shipping from amazon is quite hefty
  11. oh sorry, I forgot to mention it, I use it primarily to listen to music ( I usually listen to rock, jazz and occasionally j-pop ) and play games sometimes, The HyperX Clouds are on my list when I first about to purchase my headphone, but I backed off on it since I already had a mic I'd prefer an open back at the moment since I've never owned one and wanna try out new stuff, also because there's really no one around me. so the sound leak is not any problem, how's the sound quality for that and is it hard to drive? is the fostex hard to drive?
  12. I'm looking for an upgrade for my headphone, I currently have an Audio Technica M30x, and it is really fatiguing for long uses, and gets hot really fast on the ears is there any comfortable headphones for long use ( around 4-6 hours ), preferably open back, I don't have any AMP or DAC
  13. getting one of these, since they're on sale which one is better overall, the galax ex has a slightly higher price (around 20 bucks) Links for convenience http://www.galax.com/en/graphics-card/10-series/galax-geforcer-gtx-1070-ex.html https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1070-amp-edition
  14. I just want to get something a bit higher for a peace of mind, and most PSUs here are 6-10 bucks more for an additional wattage I did picked a 3200Mhz memory, anything higher feels like diminishing returns to me and as for motherboard I'm not really into multi gpu setups, so that b350 is good enough for me and about vega, I'm not locked into getting vega, but I just want to be ready if I'll actually get one later on
