  1. I need to run multiple instances of one app which i believe isnt possible with subsytem. ive not used androidx86 will check it out in the future thanks.
  2. blue stacks asks to assign memory and cores to each instance. I use 1 core and 1 or 2gb of memory and i will be using 4 instances possibly up to 6 at times if the screen is big enough. I will be using it for playing poker apps so needs to be able to run smoothly. (the main app i will be using is pokerrr2) I like the idea of a tablet form factor like the microsoft surface but not sure how well they would run my use case. Does anyone have a reccomendations or advice? Thanks
  3. I have a TP-LINK TL-WA850RE which i have installed openwrt onto and that uses my iPhones personal hotspot as a WAN interface and i can connect to the router via wifi or ethernet after creating using LAN interface. The problem is sometimes it creates a new wifi network for me to connect to and sometimes it doesn't. It can be days without a wifi network then all of sudden my ipad will find the network and connect to it then it will be back on for a few days. I do disconnect my personal hotspot a few times a week to use that sim card in another device which could explain why it randomly turns on and off. But im not too sure what the reason behind this is, maybe the it is affected by connection settings which get reset when i disconnect my personal hotspot If anyone can shed any light on this it would be much appreciated. I have tried googling and struggling to find information about this. Thanks
  4. Fixed the no operating system error. I had accidently changed the active partition on my boot drive so changed it back on another computer. Thanks for the workaround Naeaes that has done the trick.
  5. Not sure what has happened but i was looking at the timer thing in the start up options and then booted to my normal drive and I'm now getting "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press ctrl-alt-delete to restart" disconnected my two non operating system drives and still same message. tried booting from SSD in bios boot menu and same message.
  6. Thanks guys. Theres only one partition on the drive and i cant see anything about deleting partitions. It says delete volume but that will delete data.
  7. I had to two boot drives both with windows 10 on but have since formatted one and windows still shows it as a bootable volume (volume 5). When trying to boot from it i get a problem with drive error. Everytime i start up my machine it asks which drive i would like to boot to. Does anyone know how to remove this drive as an option? or should i format it again?
  8. Using the TP Repeater now and also got a network switch. Ran into a new problem though which i didnt think would come up. The max connections on my iphone's personal hotspot is 5 the TP link counts as 1 and everything that connects to that counts as 1. So my computer is connected to an ethernet switch which is connected to the tp link and that counts as 2 connections on my iphone. When i add the netgear router downstairs in wireless bridge mode that is another connection and anything that connects to that adds up. Obviously i need more to connect everything in my home. Is there anything i can do or have i come to brick wall here? Also when i turn my netgear D1500 into wireless bridge mode i cant connect to its config page anymore and its not very consistent when it comes to connecting the internet. Appreciate the help.
  9. yeah that sounds like it could work, thanks
  10. haha Yes i imagine i would get capped by my personal hotspot limit of 2gb. i use the tetherme tweak on my iphone to get around this. Yeah a computer on the window sill isnt the best solution but might have to put up with if i want ethernet downstairs. Just had an idea. Could i get another router and connnect its WAN ethernet port to the wireless bridge via ethernet cable? would DHCP be a problem? because im pretty sure it turns off when turning on wireless bridge mode.
  11. There are iphone tweaks to get around this maybe there is one for android im not sure. The iphone tweak i use is called TetherMe and it has an option to "override data source" which makes it look like the data im using is from my phone.
  12. ah i see yeah that makes sense now. I dont have a mac so would have to build a hackintosh. Also i should of mentioned that i have to put my phone on a windows sill on my landing upstairs yo get a decent 3g connection so cant have a usable computer there really.
  13. I have a working connection babadocter How does using bluetooth PAN improve my network, sorry im being slow and not following you at the minute.
  14. yes i am on three Tedster! so cant use routers babadocter unfortuneately, unless there is one that will take a connection from an iphone.
  15. The internet at my house is really bad i get like 0.6 down 1 up, apparently we are connected to the wrong exchange and are quite far away from it (i live in the UK and in the woods pretty much). So i created this network to get around it and use the 3G signal i get in only one corner of the house. This allows me to get 10-20 down and around 2 up depending on the time of day, which i am quite happy with but pings can be slow during peak hours. My 3G sim card has an unlimited data plan but has a personal hot spot cap at 2gb so i use a jailbreak tweak to get around that. because i only get 3G in one spot of my house i have to leave the phone there on charge all the time to have a constant connection for all my other devices. Unfortunately most of downstairs is out of range of my iPhone's WiFi broadcasting capabilities. So to extend my wireless network downstairs i used a spare netgear d1500 and turned on its wireless bridge mode which has extended the network downstairs . Problem 1 with this is that i cant access the router settings once ive changed it to wireless bridge for some reason. problem 2 is that i cant get my sony home theatre sytem to work with it over ethernet, i think its because of DHCP and lack there off or maybe ethernet doesnt work when in wireless bridge mode but sonys proprietary wifi adapater is super over priced now so would rather hook it up with ethernet. I was hoping someone a lot smarter than me could tell me im stupid and provide a better solution to my problematic setup.
