  1. Hmm but I'm using a power strip so I would've thought that the entire build, monitor and speakers would power down in the event of a power surge? And would power surges be so systematic and unrandom?
  2. I've been running into this issue lately. whenever i leave my pc for sometime it goes to sleep (which is normal), but when i return and move my mouse or press a key it doesnt wake up. neither does it power on when i push the power button. my only solution is to turn off and on the main power switch at my wall socket but this leads to the message "Power supply surges detected during the previous power on. Asus Anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit! Press F1 to Run Setup" this all started ever since i added 2 fans and a LS01 light strip but i dont see how this could have affected my system since it can still power on just not wake up. what could be the issue?? is my psu faulty?
  3. So I have a Asus laptop which I just got an ssd for. I used the easeus todo app to clone my hdd to my ssd but when I made the physical internal switch, the Asus logo pops up followed by a screen that says "reboot and select proper boot device" any ideas on how to solve this?? i was thinking it could be because my HDD is currently partitioned into 3 sections: OS,DATA and recovery, out of the box by Asus I read online that there could be a hidden boot partition I failed to clone but how do I go about doing so? Please help!

    Search help!

When I search for files using the start menu, it only searches in my C drive i.e the SSD. How do i change this so it searches in both SSD and HDD?

    windows 10 on 1440p

but the reccommended settings is 125% tho?
  8. So i have a 1440p monitor, but sometimes there are apps that just open up with blurry text and i want to know if this is normal cuz the whole reason i bought a 1440p over 1080p was the extra crispiness which i definitely see in some cases but not all. One expample is itunes which for some reason just seems blurry to me. not to the extent i cant read it but it bothers me that it kinda feels like the money spent went down the drain. i refer not to the music list, that part is fine. it is more of the upper portion, the "now playing" section in which the text is less crisp. is there a fix for this? i already "disabled scaling on high dpi" btw also i would like to know if i can run games at 1080p without any issue if i feel that my gpu cant handle 1440p. cuz i heard that there would be a drop in image quality?
  9. but they dont seem to have the free scroll wheel tho? or is that some logitech patented thing lol i was actually looking at the corsair m45. but it doesnt have the free scroll wheel. what are your thoughts on it? is it comfortable for a palm grip? is cable drag REALLY such a big issue?
  10. so im looking for a gaming mouse that has the following features: Free scroll wheel (after using logitech performance MX i realised how i cant live w/o that feature) Foward and back buttons (same reason as above) Wired/ Wireless with damn good battery life (Performance MX battery sucks real bad and im kinda tired of having to charge it constantly) Not too big but not too small (Kinda vague i know sorry) Red Led would be nice to match my setup but not necessary, tho either red led or no led cuz i dont want to ruin the look of my setup. Needs to be cheap preffably under $100 DPI profile settings would be nice but again not necessary
  11. oh no i meant in windows explorer hahaha thanks btw! feel so dumb now. But I noticed that it only works for some of my albums? like other albums still show the itunes icon. also is there a way to make icons as the default view mode instead of list for all folders?
  12. So i have a bunch of mp3 files with itunes set as the default music player. In osx the icon would be set as the album artwork by default. is there a way to do this for windows 10? oh and if possible for video files too? but mp3 has a higher priority tho

So every time I wake my computer up from sleep I get this screen. What's wrong? The small square is my mouse arrow I assume
  14. Nah I measured time from when I pressed the on switch to when the login window appears. I timed it again and I noticed the one that really took up the most time is the time when I pressed the on switch to when the Asus logo first appears. It took a whole 7 seconds. Is that long? Lol
