  1. Looking for people to play BF1 with. I know these threads have been made a million times before, but here is another haha. Got the game a week ago during Christmas sales, however my teams run around like chickens with their heads cut off and do not work together. This has made me want to find some people to play with. If you want, add my Origin ID: CeremonialSnipes. I would also like to set up some kind of voice communication, so we can actually communicate in game....
  2. Origin ID:CeremonialSnipes Not great, play as a support role (medic or engineer mainly), looking to get a squad where we can actually communicate and have fun
  3. Yes, this is a good example. Thanks, I thought that there were differences in the purity of the power on the 12v rails or something that may make power more consistent.... and therefore better for OC.
  4. See title. Wondering if I should upgrade my PSU from a CX650M 80+ Bronze: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=33_1238_442&item_id=096574 to something that is 80+ Gold with more watts, like the CX750M 80+ Gold: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=33_1238_441&item_id=089698 Will I have a better oc experience with a better supply? Thx.
  5. Ok, but it still has a maximum refresh rate of 60hz limited by the panel correct? Meaning the max FPS achievable on this monitor will be 60FPS.
  6. So I've built my pc, but want to have an upgraded general desktop experience (4k) and freesync. My current monitor is just a plain 1080p dell from 2010. It is ok, but not great. In the past I have tried 4k monitors and 1440p, but was turned off by the insane pricing >650 Canadian. I just bought this monitor: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/samsung-samsung-28-4k-uhd-60hz-1ms-gtg-tn-led-freesync-gaming-monitor-u28e590d-black-titanium-silver-u28e590d/10383477.aspx?path=aeb33a17dc3952cf2dcfe3331afbaf5ben02 My question is, will this be able to game downscaled at 1080p, with freesync allowing me to achieve greater then 60/hz fps, or will it be capped at 60hz/fps? It says 60hz, but I don't understand what the point of having a sync technology is at this refresh rate... If anyone has had experience with this monitor, please post your thoughts and experience.
  7. Depends. What is your monitor situation? Do you plan on getting a 144hz variant? Do you plan on going to 1440p down the line with a cross fire 480 configuration? How frequently do you want to upgrade your GPU? If anything more than 2 years, go with a 480. The vram will help it down the line perhaps.
  8. Yea, i mean It's main purpose will be gaming.... so for just gaming and regular internet browsing I don't know if it is really justified, thanks @njmyers3for all your valuable input, it is much appreciated!!
  9. well it isn't a must, but it is a nice bonus. Plus if i get the asus rx480 I can sync them with the aura software. I just don't know if I will be satisfied with the performance of the 480.... I originally wanted to go for 1440p gaming, but the monitors are just crazy expensive in Canada, also our GPU prices are insane, far above just a converted USD price, so I really don't know what to do.
  10. I'm looking for z170 obv, great bios for OC cpu, black colour scheme, optical audio output (is essential), M.2 slot. and led lighting. *edit* won't the mobo significantly mediate my ability to OC?
  11. I can't get that SSD, that is the american Newegg site. Also, if I get 16gb now, i will be set and never need to consider an upgrade for the pc's life span
  12. *Bump* - Need advice today!!!! the sales will be ending tonight, please, anyone else? Need some more advice, please!!!!!!
  13. Isn't having ability to OC better, for down the line/immediately in CPU intensive games, particularly at this price point?
